Sweet Shawn is just so fuzzy! I loved him talking about her trip. It was just so aw and squeeable!
DUDE. Shawn 2.0, he comments on the eyelashes. I HOPE HE STICKS AROUND. Because besides the fact that he and Jules are dating and it keeps all that wonderful tension AND WE NEED STUFF LIKE THAT OKAY? there's also the fact that HE KNOWS ABOUT SHAWN and we need more people like that too. Plus, he has a chopper. I mean, come on. Keep this guy around for more episodes. And I'm tired of stuff happening in one episode but it never carrying over. I'm also slightly tired of Shawn being so rude to everyone. I mean, I know that's kinda who he is, but I feel like the agents in that last episode would've shot him or something. I dunno, I guess I want something to actually happen to him there. Give him some growth. We see it with Jules, so let's see it other places, K?
BUT SWEET ADORABLE SHAWN. YES.

I knoooooooow. It was SO adorable! I was practically tearing up. Okay, so I actually was. I kept thinking, "I MISS THIS SHAWN." I love Sweet Shawn - it's so NOT Shawn, but at the same time, it so is. Like you've known all along that he's a great big fuzzy squishy teddy bear that's begging to be squeezed. GAH!
I need to see these episodes now. I had a feeling that they couldn't not have commented on teh eyelashes. I mean, this is PSYCH after all. I HOPE HE STICKS AROUND TOO!! Mainly for the fact that I like to stare at him and I want to keep staring at him, but also for all the reasons you said!
I agree with you about Shawn being a jerk. I'm kind of over it. I mean, yeah it's funny - but it's just not the same as it was in the first couple seasons, you know? Growth would be good.
And you know what I miss? Shawn's wild and crazy "psychic" antics. I MISS those. And I just kind of feel like nobody really believes that he's psyhic anymore. Meh, I don't know.
YAY ADORABLE SQUEEEEEEE-WORTHY SHAWN. *SQUEEE*.

(Curse my computer, I had my post all typed out an when I hit "submit" I posted, but there was naught )
YES.
CARY ELWES. Is back. With a silly mustache that I don't remember him having the last time. But I care not BECAUSE IT'S CARY ELWES. Apparently, they're going back to B.C. for Awesomeness.
(I tried posting a link to a photo on FB, but AU apparently hates me and deletes my entire post when I try. EVIIIIIIIL)
And I guess the rest of this season is gonna be chalk full of a crazy amount of random awesome guest stars. Like they're doing a Twin Peaks episode. WHAAAAT?!
There was a Psych marathon on TV (not on USA but some other channel) and I recorded all of it. GUH. I MISS MY PSYCH. AND LASSIE.
Also, has anyone been following this James Roday And Dule Hill on SNL campaign. IT NEEDS TO HAPPEN.
And I'm also depressed that they didn't come to my uni (even though I'm not a student anymore) on this college tour of epic proportions.
FIVE DAAAAAAYS.
I'm having Lassie withdrawals.

YES. James and Dule need to do SNL. It would be epic.
How crazy was the ending of that episode? Looks like we're going to have some interesting relationship stuff going on this time.

I loooooved the ending of the premiere episode. It was insane. But adorable. And this is coming from a hardcore Lassie/Jules shipper.
By the way, is it strange that I find myself fangirling over Lassie's hair? I guess he has his hair back so I CAN fangirl over it. I am a strange child.
And I'm curious if Lassie knows, or suspects something between Shawn and Jules. He can't be THAT oblivious. Well, he can ... which is why we love him so. HMMMM, I wonder how he'll react???

I'm totally double posting. Fweeeeee!
But I just saw "Ferry Tale" and "Shawn 2.0" and pretty much thought they were AWESOME! "Shawn 2.0" in particular.
Nestor The-Man-With-The-Amazing-Eyelashes ... ummm, YES. WHY is Jules so stupid? WHYYYYYY???!!! I neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed him to be back because he was beyond epic.
And then Lassie in like ... civilian clothes or whatever. BEAUTIFUL.

"I know this because waiting for corpses to resurface is a passion of mine."
OH LASSIE.
All in all a good episode. It was nice to not have too much over the top Jules/Shawn.

I think it's my favourite line of the entire series. XD LASSIE. WIN.
I'm glad there hasn't been too much Jules/Shawn. I'm actually somewhat surprised it's been kept pretty low-key. Hopefully I didn't just jinx it.
SO, with regards to the police academy episode, I would like to say that I thought we were OVER Shawn being a jerk. It's not even funny any more, it's just annoying and so out of character that it's reaaaaally bothering me. And then to pull Gus into it, who is usually the respectable one. WHAT?! That's just not right. Lassie, yes - Lassie is allowed to be a jerk because that's just who he is and we love him for it. But Shawn, to the CHIEF?! REALLY?! The first half of the episode I just wanted to smack him. And what happened to Shawn and Gus actually being good detectives? Seriously? They failed MISERABLY.
And NO flashback?! Or ANY psychic-ness at ALL?? Has Steve Franks and everyone else on the show forgotten that this show is pretty much about a guy pretending to be a psychic??? *headdesk* I realize that it may be difficult to continuously come up with silly antics and fake-psychic "episodes," but seriously. I miss them. And I miss Shawn NOT being a jerk. [/endrant]
Other than that, I thought it was a good episode. Ralph Macchio was brilliant. Loved him to bits, he was so adorable. And I loved the references to the Karate Kid.
Also, those uniforms were so NOT flattering on either Shawn or Gus. But HOT FUZZ POSTER!!! Yes. I did love when they pulled Lassie over. That was pretty damn funny. XD
And apparently next week is TWO NEW episodes! Back to back! Whaaaaaaaat!
EDIT: I TOTALLY forgot about Buzz McNabb!!! SOOO happy to see him actually sort of present in this episode. LOOOOOOVE.

SHAWN MATURED! Oh, I'm so happy with that episode. It was strange, and I'm not sure what all was going on, but the fact that Shawn actually came to terms with some things was excellent. I hope this sticks.

I agree! It was nice to see that Shawn could actually come to terms with maturing just a wee bit. It was a really nice development. The rest of the episode was just a complete trip. I spent much of it wondering what on earth was going on.
Gus' sitcom had me laughing so hard. The MUSTACHE!!
But if Lassie and the entire police station dress like that if Lassie were to ever become Chief, it needs to happen. Seriously. XD
As for the episode with Lassie's sister, I thought it was absolutely adorable. And I realized that Shawn has an immense soft spot for Lassie. It's happened a few times before - where he gives credit to him. It's always nice to see Shawn being such a sweetheart and a gentlman.
Gus hitting on Lassie's sister was GOLD. The "Are you seeing anyone?" line had me in hysterics for ages!
Finale? Awesome. I wasn't expecting Yang and Yin to be related - so much so that I didn't believe it at first. Gus and Shawn arguing before dying about killed me .... No pun intended. And Gus just laying it all out to Shawn was so beautifully done.
Last five minutes was lovely. Stunned Lassie broke my heart just a wee bit.
WHYYYY does this season have to over already?? Booooo!

Awwww, sad Lassie. I immediately thought of you during that part. HE'S SAD THAT JULES IS TAKEN.
Until you said it I didn't realize they actually were related. I thought she just called him Dad because that was the sort of relationship they had.
I loved them arguing before getting killed. And Yin is just staring at them with this "what did I get myself into?" look on his face.
And yes yes yes to Shawn letting Lassie get the credit! I love it when he does that. He really does care. Just like in his "dream" when Lassie runs the department, he gets this look and says the "At least they respect him" line. I hope that all gets developed more.

I agree, I was a bit shocked as well that Yin and Yang were father and daughter. I totally didn't see that coming. In the end, I felt a bit bad for Yang. Before this episode, we thought she was a crazy killer psychopath. Now we realize that she's the crazy, very unstable product of a very warped father. I ended up feeling like she was a victim, not a bad guy.
The end, with Lassie just staring in disbelief, was hilarious. He's a very tough man, and although he doesn't show it very often, I think Jules may be his one soft spot. I'm very intrigued to see how he'll react to this. My money is on him trying to keep Shawn away from Jules because he thinks he has to protect her from him.

Dear god, where have I been?
Let me take it back a moment and say that from...what, two weeks ago? The Polarizing Express episode and Dead Bear Walking. Both of them had the greatest moments of the season. Gus's sitcom, especially him dancing. I nearly wet myself. Also, from the other episode, Gus hitting on Lassie's sister. "Are you dating anyone?" BEST. Also, the best psych-out ever. Because he simply could not say that line without wetting himself.
Anyway, I felt this finale was the most predictable Yin/yang episode yet. I felt it was obvious about Allison, and it was clear Yin and Yang were somehow related, though I thought it was wife/husband, not father/daughter. Hmm, oh well. It was still a very good episode. McNabb/Lassie totally made it fantastic.
