Well, it's difficult to say where I liked her most... In the first movie, she still is so young, dependent on her father, sometimes like a snob, whose courage it was to agree marrying Norrington so that Will would be saved.
Compared to the other two movies, I didn't like her in CotBP, she really needed to develop further, which she obviously did.
Well, so I liked her best in the third movie, out of the reason that she truly had grown up. She could now take responsibility of her actions, like getting Jack back, she makes up her own mind of what is right or wrong, as she agreed to come on Sao Feng's ship as Calypso, even Will was against it, and she showed her leading qualities at the speach right before the battle.

Yeah I know what you mean. I enjoyed her throughout the entire trilogy too. I also like her much more in the second two than the first one. As you said, she seems a little bit young and inexperienced in COTBP, and she definitely had a lot of room for development in the second two.
Honestly between the second two I am not sure which one I like her more in. If she had more time in DMC I would probably have to say that I liked her the most in that one, but since her role was small in DMC, until the end, I don't know which I like her more in. Probably AWE, just because she becomes a leader in that movie, and who can not like her speech to the crew of BP.

Actually it's very hard to say, as these three movies appear as a unit. Elizabeth needs to develop, and it is interesting to see how she manages. First only being used to the company of the high society in Port Royal, she gets accostumed to pirates quite soon, and these pirates, especially of course Jack, and Will if you consider him a pirate, have such a good influence on her that she becomes this confident, responsible, great young lady, or rather Pirate King!

Yep, I love how the pirates have a good influence on her as well as many other characters in POTC. It made the movies unique, because in most pirate movies the pirates are the bad guys, while in POTC some of them have an influence for good, which defies the traditional setup of a pirate movie. Just another reason why POTC is the greatest pirate movie ever.

Yep, for once the pirates are not portrayed as cruel, blood thirsty humans, who will feed you to the sharks, like I believe every head of governments wish to show them, but instead PotC shows the other side of the coin, that they have a heart, that they are good men and women as well, even if it doesn't seem so all the time.
I believe Elizabeth played an important role there as well to prove that pirates aren't just ruthless creatures who do not deserve to live.

Oh yes definitely. It is interesting how she both shows the rest of the world that all pirates are not bad, as well as making some of the pirates more moral. I think a good example of this would have to be Barbossa. In COTBP he seems to be a very mean, bloodthirsty pirate, who has no regard for Elizabeth except to lift the curse, and to lust after. By the end of the third one Barbossa had developed a deep respect for her via her speech, and overall strength of character, and he seemed to be a better man. Of course some of this has to do with that he was finally free from any curses, but I truly believe Elizabeth had a huge impact on him.

Indeed, that's true, Barbossa surely is the best example for this, and I haven't even thought of him! He surely is another character in PotC who changes immensely, to the good, and I believe the strongest reason for this change is the lifting of the curse, as you said.
Well, other topic, what do you, or do all the members of this club think of having an Elizabeth Fanclub Banner?

Yep, I thought so too, to see her development. Well, I'm not the best at graphics, I only can make simple ones just like the one below.
But I'll have a try, the next time I'll have more time to spair. Right now I should be working on two essays and studying for a test on Friday, so after that I'll do it.
Hmm... if some others would like to make such banners as well, maybe we should have a voting or something, or put it to the contests, what do you think, Barbossa?

Yeah that would be cool. Aw, your graphics look pretty neat to me. The one you are wearing currently is very well done.
Oh, well those things should take precedence over graphic making I suppose. If you don't have time I can give it a try, although my stuff is not very good.
I kind of like the contest idea, although then we may get people making the graphic that are not a part of this club.

Awww thanks, well, I like simple banners best. And I'm sure you're quite good at banner making as well.
And I thought... if we make a contest about it, maybe only members would be able to enter? Is that against any rule, I'm not sure... Well, but it maybe would make the Elizabeth Club a little more present as well, maybe even more people join, who knows.

Yep I think that the simple banners sometimes look better than the complex banners. If a banner gets too complex it seems to get worse.
Hmm, I am not sure if that would go against any rules either. I guess a contest could always be made open to everyone, and then we could just take the best banner of the lot no matter if they are members or not.
Or if you want to just avoid all of this, you could make the banner. I have faith that what you will make will be awesome.

Well, if it is too complex, it somehow begins to look confusing for the spectator, or you just don't get the theme...
Hmm... I've never begun any contest yet, so I believe I'll let this be, and try to make a nice Elizabeth banner myself, if anyone else reads this thread save you and me, maybe she or he will help us out with a banner as well

That is correct. When I first started out graphic making everything I made was too complex. Thankfully I am better now.
Sounds good to me, I can't wait to see what you come up with.

Lol well, I have an exam tomorrow, so after that I'll make the Elizabeth banner, hopefully a good one, tho for me that totally depends on the pictures.
