Though I do like the name Joaquin.... It's very.... turkishly strong---if you know what I mean? xD

I'm babbling and slightly out of my mind because of all the fangirling that's been going on inside my head.

And if it's a girl, you can name it Joaquina. xD

The more I think of it, the prettier Joaquina DOES sound. >:3

I never pegged Joaquin for a down-to-earth guy but he really is.

It does sound very nice actually... Waah-keen-a.

Oh, he really is. And he's a vegan and dead against people wearing fur, so he is teh dude in my eyes. DearJoaquin as a whole section of quotes from him and others he has worked with and he seems like a really nice guy. If a bit insecure and he won't believe anyone who says he can act, as he doesn't think he's much good. Other actors say he is truly humble but he is one of the finest actors of his generation.

I think I feel in love with him even more. I admire him for being a vegan, I grew up eating meat so... =/

... and because I grew up in an asian family, most of our meals contain at least a little meat (though most are veggies that I don't even know the name of in English).

Have I mentioned I keep staring at your Joaquin banner everytime you post ?XD

Yes, I admire him for that as well. He does a lot for fur farming and puppy mills and things like that. I can't tell you the exact quote because of language (which I don't normally like hearing from my favourite actors but for some reason I don't mind it coming from him) but it went something like:

" I think you're an idiot if you wear fur. It's ridiculous! There's no need for real fur — since there are compassionate alternatives. And furs are ugly in general, be they synthetic or real. Don't tell me it's about warmth, because people who wear furs wouldn't be caught dead in big down coats."

And I have to say I agree with him. Although I wouldn't knock the fake fur, because it it keeps them from buying the real thing, then that can't be a bad thing.

Yeah, I eat a lot of meat as well. Not like steaks and things like that. Just a slice of meat in a sandwich. I suppose I could become a vegetarian... but I don't think I could live without milk and cheesecake and things like that. :blink:

Now I can't imagine him swearing... xD Though it is curious that he does. Not many of my favorite actors have that much of a potty-mouth so maybe Joaquin will be the first.

I have the permanent image of Lucius Hunt for Joaquin Phoenix. I know I should, but it's very hard.

Well I read about 40 quotes from him, and he probably swore maybe 4 times. I think it could be when he speaking about something he is passionate against... if that makes any sense...?

Yeah, I agree.

Reading some of things he says.. and what he has thoughts on... I don't know.. he is such an observant, intelligent guy. He makes such good sense. And the way he puts his words together after he has been asked something. I could never do that.

He hates giving interviews for film promotions though. He doesn't see the point in doing them for like an hour and being asked the same type of questions over and over and making them sound fresh. He has a point. XD

I suppose you get like that when you are insecure about things and you're always striving to be better in each project you work on.

I bet he worries a lot as well. I think he seems the type. Apparently though he has got a good sense of humour and a really goofy side to him. :teehee:
