thanks for the welcome!
and yes...ted dekker's books are amazing. black, red and white are really good! blink and three are really suspenseful and intense. the martyr's song series are really inspirational and moving. overall, he is an awesome writer. i would highly reccomend that if you ever get the chance to, read one of his books.

I'll definately try them sometime. And as for me, I highly recommend Memoirs of a Geisha- I just finished it, and it's amazing.

Me too. I'll already read it twice cuz I reread it before reading Eldest. (And I so predicted almost everything that was going to happen in that book, but that's ok cuz it made me feel special *spoilers* was it not obvious that the twins were evil? Or were they...I remember thinking they were but I can't remember exactly what happen....really need to read both books again *end spoilers*) We'll see if it's as good the third time as it is the first and second!

May I join this club? I'm pretty much an avid reader, I read at least 4 new books a week.

Hmmm...
Any of the Inklings! [Tolkien, Lewis, Charles Williams].
Pretty much any classic literature.
Roald Dahl.
George MacDonald.
And a thousand others.

Ooooh, hard one. Probably "The Screwtape Letters". Or any of his essays; maan he wrote good essays.
Oh! and here are a few more.
Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
Sir Walter Scott
Emerson
PG Wodehouse
Charles Dickens

Arthur Conan Doyle!! Yes, another Sherlock fan! Or are you? I know he wrote other stuff too. Man, I love A.C. Doyle. Sherlock is awesome.

I love Eragon. And Eldest. Even though they are a bit predictable and similar to LotR. They're still good. And yes, the Twins are evil. That was really obvious.

Yes, very similar to LotR. Usually that would drive me crazy, but for some reason with those books it doesn't quite so much.

Yes, of course I've read Shakepeare! I own all of his works... read them often. My favorite is "A Midsummer Nights Dream".
And yes, I'm a Holmes fan! Woot! *high-fives* He's so awesome! He's a genious! And Watson is so lovable. I'd like to marry him.
Plus, another of Doyle's books that I LOVE is "Lost World." Pricesless story. I think I've read it... 23 times.

I'm in love with Holmes. I was just watching an old TV Holmes series. So brilliant.
