Damon woke up with a start and hurriedly glanced at his clock. By golly, he'd slept through half the day! He jumped to his feet, crashing into a bed post, and ran lickety split to the dining room.
Skidding through the door, he asked breathlessly, "Is everyone else okay? Did I miss anything?" Hearing his stomach rumble, he headed right towards the buffet. He never ended up eating anything, for he always ended up falling asleep. Bringing back an apple pastry, he collected himself and joined the group.
"So, has anyone figure anything out?"

"Thank you" said the Horseman as he took the tea offered to him. "I am sorry to hear you did not sleep well - I never would have guessed it" he added. "I am sure today will be much brighter" he said as he sipped his tea. "And as long as you keep your room locked I am quite sure you will be safe. Anyway" he added with a chuckle. "The murderer may have fallen foul of this rolling vessel and be shark food by now" he added.

"I did not sleep well either," Morfindes said. "I kept a knife at myself last night, not knowing if I could be the next killed whilst I try to sleep. One must try to protect themselves somehow. It proves that we are not safe in our cabins, even with the doors locked."

[OK. I'm like way behind, due to yesterday being swallowed by family responsibilities, but I've read all the pages now so I can finally post again. And Sparkle + HH is totally cracking me up.  ]
Fragile walked into the dining room late. After the excitement of the night before, she'd had to spend a lot of time with her guitar before she felt calm enough to sleep. Even then, she'd tossed and turned for hours.
Stifling a yawn and pushing her dirty blonde hair out of her eyes, Fragile poured herself a cup of coffee and sat down in an unoccupied chair. She held her cup close to her face and breathed deep as she listened to the conversation around her to see if anyone had any clear theories about the murders.

Sparkle giggled when the Horseman spoke of sharks. "You're so funny! Lets hope just hope you're right!"
Her gaze shifted to Morfindes when she joined in the conversation. "Keep a knife near when you sleep?" she repeated shrilly. "Dear me.. I do not dare to only hold a knife."
Taking another sip of her tea she added with a smile: "I ususally buy cut vegetables whenever I have to cook.."

The Horseman smiled to himself at Sparkle's reply, but hoped the "cooking" didn't include flour based products.
"I believe" he said, "there is an armoury aboard this vessel. I was wondering if our murderer found anything there useful" he said.

Sparkle wondered if she had to add that she'd become a fruitarian from now on, but did not think that it was necessary.
"Perhaps we can take a look and see if something is missing?" she suggested in a small voice, hoping to come across as brave, but feeling anything but that.

Tar was, as per usual on this cruise, skulking near the largest group of guests. She lightly eavesdropped on the conversations around her, occasionally taking a moment to scribble a note in her quickly filling notebook. When she heard the mention of a knife, she almost exploded from excitement. She looked intently at the culprit, only to find nothing particularly psychotic in Morfindes' features. How disappointing. Either way, she made a sentence and double underlined it.
She scooted closer to the headless fellow and his sparkling pseudo-girlfriend, attempting to be subtle as she listened.

"I think that is a very good idea" said the Horseman. He rummaged about in cloak, and finally found a map of the ship. "Ah" he said "this will make life easier". After he studied the map for a few moments, he stoof and offered Sparkle his arm. "Shall we go?" he asked her smiling.
"Would anyone like to join us" he said to the room.

Finding an opportunity to get involved, even if it meant trailing behind the slightly odd couple, Fragile stood up. "I'd love to explore the armory. It seems like a logical start."

"Excuse me." Tar said, awkwardly trying to get around the two so that she hadn't look like she previously was breathing down his...neck?
"I would very much like to come. I'm taking notes, you see. I'm a journalist. And I haven't been able to get a single interview. The two of you seem like the perfect candidates for my article." Tar smiled brightly. "Would you like to be famous?"

She must be more lost in her own world more than usual because she was becoming more forgetful on how she would be in one place at one moment and then on the other side of the ship the next...
Time was slipping from her, not that that was uncommon being an author.

"Well, my dear, you certainly can't make a comment like that without it going noticed." Tar jumped in helpfully. "I have it right here in my little notebook. Morfindes: Lady-in waiting to Queen of Lorien, likes reading, writing, etc, heavy metal, the color black...blah blah blah...CARRIES A KNIFE. That isn't particularly subtle, you know. I believe the quote was 'we are not safe in our cabins, even with the door locked.' A bit suspicious."
