lol I love that Group Pip&leggyluvr! Love their song "The Voice of Truth"...
Oh what I would do to have The kind of strength it takes to stand before a giant With just a sling and a stone Surrounded by the sound of a thousand warriors Shaking in their armor Wishing they'd have had the strength to stand

OMG, that's my FAV song of them!!!
But the Voice of Truth, tells me a different story. The Voice of Truth, says do not be afraid! And the Voice of Truth, says this is for my glory! Out of all the voices calling out to me, I will choose to listen & believe The Voice of Truth
It's such an encouraging song! I luv it!!

Here's another song I love...Ray Boltz sang it originally, but I've heard my father perform it, and every time he does, ...it makes me cry. I admit it. I love the words to "Thank You":
I dreamed I went to heaven We walked upon the streets of gold Beside the crystal sea. Then someone called your name. We heard the angels singing We turned and saw a young man running And he was smiling as he came.
And he said, "Friend you may not know me now." And then he said, "But wait, You used to teach my Sunday School When I was only eight....
...Thank you for giving to the Lord. I am a life that was changed. Thank you for giving to the Lord. I am so glad you gave.....

quotes about growing up and the impending career days at school, from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, yeah that show cracks me up some days...
"I'm kind of curious to find out what sort of career I could have. "Willow "What, and suck all the spontanaity out of being young and stupid? I'd rather live in the dark." Xander "You're not going to be young forever"Willow "Yes, but I'll always be stupid.... Okay, let's not all rush to disagree." Xander"
What friends...lol

My fav song at the time is one that a guy I know a little has written. It's called "I wanna see Jesus first of all".
I know I'll get to Heaven, but I cannot know the day
When I hear the voice of God calling me away
But what I know for sure is that I will finally meet
The one who shed His blood for me there on Calvary
I wanna see Jesus first of all
Cause He's the one who bled and died
On Jesus I will call
He'll lead me with his nailscarred hands
Into his sweet embrace
Yes, all I want too see that day
Is Jesus' face
When I get to Heaven, I'll meet them all I know
I'll walk and talk with James and John down the streets of gold
I'll sing and shout with angels, what a lovely day 'twill be
But first of all I'll meet God's Son, who gave his life for me
I wanna see Jesus first of all
Cause He's the one who bled and died
On Jesus I will call
He'll lead me with his nailscarred hands
Into his sweet embrace
Yes, all I want too see that day
Is Jesus' face
God of glory, Prince of peace, Counsellor and Friend
Oh, what a joy to know that He'll be with me 'till the end
The end
I wanna see Jesus first of all
Cause He's the one who bled and died
On Jesus I will call
He'll lead me with his nailscarred hands
Into his sweet embrace
Yes, all I want too see that day
Is Jesus' face
I love it so much, it's so beautiful

Silly song by Mark Lowry, a singing comedian...called "Every Teacher"
Never on the honor roll But I think that I should mention I would have a masters now If they gave it in detention
Shot spit wads till I turned blue And flew paper airplanes too My chemestry experiment Blew up the whole school, by accident
Every teacher knows my name they hear it and go insane I brought prayer back to class Cuz all my teachers prayed that I would pass
At the mention of my name Teachers twitch, and some start droolin A diploma was my aim But I even flunked home schooling
Put a frog down one girl's back My mama got notes by the stack All of my teachers got combat pay Every hour, every day
Every teacher knows my name they hear it and go insane So many swats that I couldn't keep score That's what I grew all this padding for!
Every teacher knows my name they hear it and go insane I brought prayer back to class Cuz all my teachers prayed that I would pass

Why haven't I seen this club before?? Anyways, I'd love to join and I'll contibute three quotes, too!
"When angry count 4, when very angry swear!" (Mark Twain)
"Always forgive your enemies, nothing annoys them quite so much!" (Oscar Wilde)
"Everything is possible to him who believes." (Luke's gospel)
How about making a list with quotes? Oh, and, since I didn't read the whole thread, I don't know if there have been websites listed, which are stuffed with quotes. I could name a few if anyone was interested?!

I love this from Pirates of Penzance
Quote:
All. A paradox, a paradox, A most ingenious paradox. Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, That paradox.
CHANT
King. For some ridiculous reason, to which, however, I’ve no desire to be disloyal, Some person in authority, I don’t know who, very likely the Astronomer Royal, Has decided that, although for such a beastly month as February, twenty-eight days as a rule are plenty, One year in every four his days shall be reckoned as nine and twenty. Through some singular coincidence – I shouldn’t be surprised if it were owing to the agency of an ill-natured fairy – You are the victim of this clumsy arrangement, having been born in leap-year, on the twenty-ninth of February; And so, by a simple arithmetical process, you’ll easily discover, That though you’ve lived twenty-one years, yet, if we go by birthdays, you’re only five and a little bit over!
Ruth & King. Ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Ho! ho! ho! ho!
Frederic. Dear me! Let’s see! (counting on fingers) Yes, yes; with yours my figures do agree!
Ruth & King. Ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha!
Frederic. (more amused than any) How quaint the ways of Paradox! At common sense she gaily mocks! Though counting in the usual way, Years twenty-one I’ve been alive. Yet, reckoning by my natal day, Yet, reckoning by my natal day, I am a little boy of five! Quote:
