I don't know. Just a long bow, probably. I havn't really even asked my parents for permission yet, so its totally possible that I may not get one, but oh well.

I've had a sudden fascination with ash bows. ever since I read a book where one of the characters had an ash bow

you can wear your bow out?? how on earth do you treat it?? wow ... a bow can't really wear out though ... only arrows can ... usually a bow can last for your entire lifetime really...

well if you keep practicing with it I suppose it can wear out

^well no ... a bow can't really wear out as easily as that ... even though you practice with it a lot ...  ... our standard school bows have been there since the school opened and theyre still intact ... i practice with my bow aLOT and its still fine ... my coach had his longbow since he was a child and he practised with it everyday ... and he still does ... its still in really good condition

well it depends. even titanium bows break. their grips (or guards, whatever they're called) can come out relatively easily.

you've got a point there. I saw some bows at the medieval fair once and I was drooling over them. though I was drooling a tenfold more over the swords and staffs....

they had Aragorn's sword on display too. it wasn't that expensive. maybe a replica would be... what? a couple hundred dollars?
