Ohh no wonder... ours go a bit differently and we have about three ranks more than you guys
And our system chooses to ignore how long you've been a cadet for, and they look at how your performance as a cadet has been instead. Like my RSM (CWO) told me that at the end of his first year in cadets, he already got promoted to a MBdr. Just because he was responsible enough for it, and he was only 14

But this is just Air Cadets, I don't know about Army Cadets here - d'you know if it's the same?
