Yeah, I didn't know that either until I looked him up on Wikipedia. 
I rented the movie Mesmer yesterday in which Alan plays Dr. Franz Mesmer the man who came up with the theory of "animal magnetism". I actually haven't watched it just yet, because I've been trying to learn about exactly what Dr.Mesmer's life story is. Wikipedia hasn't been very helpful...

Normally I wouldn't look up anything about the movie before I watch it, but this is based on a real life person and I want to have some sort of basis on who he was so that I'm not completely lost.

That's the thing, everyone loves his voice! It's so unique! Gah! I love him! He's the sexiest thing since sliced bread I say.

Okie dokies.. so, after all my research I finally watched Mesmer today. The plot was a bit loose, but Alan was fantastic as usual. I never realised how lovely his hands are [and let me tell you, there were many shots of them!]. Why is it that Alan Rickman's characters always fall for younger women? It's becoming a trend.
I guess I can say the opposite for myself then, since I seem to be falling for older men lately.

That's the same for me, except that now I've watched Mesmer, but apparently he's in a film called "An Awfully Big Adventure" and he falls for a 16 year old girl.

The actress is actually 25 or something like that, but she lied about her age when she auditioned, because they were looking for someone younger. Lucky, lucky girl...

Aah.. yes, I think I'm catching your drift. Although personally, I'd have no problem whatsoever with something like that, especially if Alan Rickman is involved.
