He's good in all the books, but VotDT is my favorite with him: cannot WAIT until they make that into a movie.  But anyhow, who cried on one of the Ed scenes in LWatW? *raises hand* I then scorned myself for crying, but to this day I still tear up a bit on that scene (where Aslan forgives him.) Oh, and another thing, Edmund has the BEST line out of all the Narnia books! (or at least the one that makes me laugh the hardest. "Bother!" said Edmund. "I've left my new torch in Narnia."Revival is wonderful!

Well, when I read the book (LtWatW), I didn't cry. Though, I always felt horribly bad for him. *hugs*
But, in the movie, because they fleshed out the battle and what he did...when Jadis stabbed him, that definately brought tears to my eyes. It was just so heartbreakingly real. Even though I KNEW everything was going to be fine...yeah.
As for being a good king, I agree! I think it was said in LtWatW, that he became quiet...but, like really wise. Which, I just found really amazing.

Wow, graver and quieter than Peter? That is truly amazing, once I think about it. Peter was always more or less the leader type, and yet often Edmund made the better decisions, because he based them on his heart. Like in Prince Caspian, when he's the only one who believe Lucy... because he remembers how they didn't believe her before. He's such a sweet brother.
And in the books, he added so much well-needed humor without appearing frivolous in the least. For instance, when he nicknames Trumpkin the dwarf the "D. L. F." Wonderful.
I'm very excited about this upcoming movie, too. Edmund's courageous nature really shows itself in PC methinks. _________________ <center>

So what is it about the character that makes you, like us, think he's just the best? Ha ha ha ha.
Part of the reason I like him is because since I first read LWW YEARS ago, I've always been able to identify with him. You know?

exactly! ed is skeptical at first (i would be too if my sibling found a forest in a closet) but in the end, I think he believes in and loves Narnia more than the others. (this is why I somewhat resent Su because she forgets Narnia in TLB.) but Edmund is such a believable character cause he loves Narnia like the dickens, but he's got his faults. it makes him human like the rest of us, and not just a mary sue or something.
