I liiiive!! *crawls out from the depths of the earth where no good AR fan would go*
So you enjoyed Sweeney Todd, Eä? I have to agree with you on the tight trousers. Not that I'm complaining I suppose. AR's character is a bit of a pervert in ST, and he's actually rather evil.
Has anyone heard anything about his new movie Bottleshock? I'm not sure when it comes out, but apparently it's pretty good.

I was craving AR badly yesterday... I had to watch my bookmarked Snape YouTube videos... lol, seriously, last time I saw him in action was in half of Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves and I say half of it because I couldn't sit through Kevin Costner's bad acting and Lady Marion's enormous 80s hairstyle for more than a good hour...
I'm just waiting patiently for Christmas to come so they'll probably show Love Actually on TV - I loove that movie and it'll be a dear reunion of the finest of British actors.
Oh yeah, Judge Turpin is pure evilness in ST. I don't think they even bother to explain his reasons why.. he just is evil incarnated, which works perfectly fine since it's a musical and at least <i don't need everything explained.

I suppose you could compare the Sheriff of Nottingham and Judge Turpin to one another, as they're both evil without really needing a reason.
Ya know, it always makes me wonder why people always stereotype AR as playing villains. SoN and Judge Turpin are the only real villains I can think of that he's played.

Whoa, there hasn't been activity here since Christmas las year, what a shame. Inwe and Larael and me have been among the most active Rickman-fans but Inwe is scarce and Larael has turned to the light side in all her silly Malfoy fangirl-ism
Anyway, welcome, welcome...
I'm looking so much forward to seeing Alice in Wonderland next year, do you know what part Rickman will be playing? And what other recent Alan Rickman movies can we watch while we wait for Burton?

Thanks for the welcome.
lol. Malfoy fangirl-ism. It's all about Snape come on.
I'm excited for Alice! I understand that Alan will be playing the Caterpillar.
I don't know why but hearing that he is going to be the caterpillar make me crack up. I know he will be fantastic, he usually is. After seeing Helena Bonham Carter's pictures for the movie, I'm curious to see what the did with Alan.
As for recent movies the only thing I have seen Alan in recently is Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Alan was great as usual. Though, like all movies made from books, there were a few things I was a little upset about or wish they added but overall it was pretty good (I thought).

Yeah, I know... there is only one Alan Rickman and I never was much for Malfoy, but don't tell her!
The Catarpillar... Well, I just saw pictures and it seems that only his divine voice will appear in the movie - or are they actually modelling the Catarpillar on him too? Well, I should probably go ask in the Alice thread too.
I love Rickman as Snape and the role is getting better and better as the plot unfolds and his character gets deeper. In fact, I think Snape's character is the most interesting and complex in the HP series.

It will be our little secret... at least until she reads for herself.
I really don't know what they are doing with his character in Alice to be honest. If you find out if it's just voice-over do tell. Not that it will change my want to see it in the least but I'm curious.
Snape has to be one of my favourite literary characters. I tend to like the complex characters in books/movies (Snape and Boromir being tied for first place.) Severus is a very complex and interesting character, I agree, and I think Alan plays him very well. In fact, I can't see anyone else as Snape.

I'm not sure if I ever joined this club. And if I haven't, I have no idea why I haven't.

This pretty much just broke my heart.
And I still plan on not seeing DH, but if I see more of these I might be close to being persuaded to consider the possibility of maybe seeing it in the distant future.
But that still breaks my heart. GUH.

There is no separation.
Sooo, it works.

True.. very true! You're absolutely right!!
Alright, so a true AR-related question: Do you recommend Truly, Madly, Deeply? (Except the obvious fact that AR is in it, of course. )
