Maybe that'll help Kahne's team in the 600.  but yeah I know what you mean. It's great that Tony won a couple of races pre-season, but they dont' count!

I hope the engine builder for JGR doesn't do whatever he did over the weekend again...I didn't get to read the whole article on nascar.com but I think he was experimenting. Uh, why didn't we do that BEFORE the season started?!

I think they knew the race was not for points so they decided to try a few things. They actually did experiment in the off-season, but could not get the engine to live then. I guess they have probably discovered a few things since then and decided to try and see if they could make the engine last with their new knowledge. Obviously it did not work.
I believe all the JGR cars will come back with a more conservative engine package, and be able to run all 600 miles problem free.

sheesh, I certainly hope so. although I dont' know if I'll be able to watch all the 600...I can barely watch the normal ones.

I won't be here to see it then more than likely.  Youth Vacation Bible School....maybe I'll get to see the start of it if it starts 4 my time...for once I'm wishing this was a Saturday race, lol.
