Hmm... think of it this way:
A werewolf is slightly like a mosquito
When a mosquito pokes you, there is a possible chance that you may get Malaria. When a lycan bits you, it is almost certain that you become a werewolf.
The question is... can Malaria be passed down? (General knowledge is both my strong point and my weak point )
Because if so - being a Lycan could possibly be passed down as well
If not... then viceversa

Malaria can't be passed down, I don't think. Even though someone can live with it for hte rest of their lives, they can't pass it down.

I totally know how that is. So about Remus, you guys don't think it would be passed down because Malaria isn't passed down?

Well with the whole 'Get bitten by werewolf - you become werewolf' is similar to 'get pricked by a mosquito - chance of Malaria' - the possibility of not being passed down could be similar as well.
With my proffesional opnion, Remy the Ripper's children would not become werewolves but would perhaps have agressive outbursts & huge amounts of un-explained stress from time to time, most usually with a full moon.
*people glare at me suspiciously*
I've become a werewolf fan since I formed a crush on Oz from BtVS

No to mention be a little fluffy around the edges.
But yeah the mosquito/Malaria thing makes sense with this. But I don't think people who use Werewolves ever really explain if it is passed down to children. And it varies for different people also.

It's true. No one has really explained how being a werewolf affects the next generations, if they have children.

That's the only problem with using things like werewolves/vampires etc. because so many people have used them in different ways you aren't sure which way the author is meaning for this one to be.

I was going to say the exact same thing. There are so many variation of werewolves, who knows the original? It's buried somewhere... lol

Yeah I know, I'm afraid it won't happen in the book either. Maybe when Harrry (hopefully) defeats Voldie there will be mention of a marriage between the two.
