Richard was unsure if he should laugh hysterically.

After dying, he'd done the best thing he could have done; he fled. And then he'd avoided people. Like the plague. Only the plague wasn't very easily avoided, was it? Odd expression.

So they'd caught the killer.

Well, that was probably good.

'Probably' in the sense that now Richard felt rather dumb, because if they'd caught her they'd be able to contain her and she wouldn't kill the entire ship like he'd thought and then there actually hadn't been any need to...

Well this was fabulous. Now he was stuck wearing that awful leopard print coat and smudged eyeliner -- presumably forever.

"Erk," he said, because if he could help it he was going to wait for someone to ask about everything. He'd heard talk of Twilight. He wasn't reading that rubbish. It was insulting to think that anyone would think he would.

Tar, who had managed to lurk around getting the scoop for the last two...ish days, pulled her recorder out of her pocket and clicked it off happily.

"I knew it all along. And my story, telling how I managed to find this killer, will surely win me the awards I've always been overlooked for. Anyone that wants an interview can kindly suck it."

She flopped happily on the ground and began to scribble furiously in her notebook.

Narcissa and Lucius were quite surprised to hear that their murderer had been caught. They had spent the day floating around the armoury and the secret room on the fifth level trying to solve its mysteries. It had been a trying voyage at best, but they were glad that no one else would suffer as victim's of Lady White Night.

Damon, after not saying anything for a couple of days, came back to find that the killer had been found.

"Well, this is a nice surpise!" he said. "I suppose that we can get back to our enjoyable cruise without having to worry about guests being killed off!"

Noting the ghost of Richard floating nearby, he questioned, "Say, Richard, what exactly were the circumstances surrounding your death? I don't believe you came back to tell us anything."

Morfindes glanced over at Tar and raised an eyebrow. "Now you know that you did not killer, at least not alone. You really are looking to become famous, eh?"

Looking over at Damon, Morfindes said, "Perhaps not but should we allow her to walk freely? She did commit four murders after all."

"Oh, you know," Richard answered vaguely. "Death. I, um, died. As you're technically undead, I suppose I should explain how death works? See, bit by bit your body stops functioning -- though that doesn't really seem to have happened here, since I'm still around -- and you... die."


He hesitated. Oh, everyone was going to hate this.


"I'm actually surprised none of you saw," he continued. "I thought for sure one of you would walk in and see the poison, and the wine..."

Damon was horribly confused. "So what are you implying, Richard? What am I going to hate?"

[Well, I won't hate it, but everyone else might. ]

And because Richard telepathically made him do so, Damon pulled out a bucket from underneath his shirt, put it on his head, and began to dance around.

Damon stopped dancing for a second, shock making his bucket slip a little.

"You...you killed yourself?! Why would you do something like that?"
