That'd be good. I was thinking about getting someone to do the fancy font and Aragorn Contest Winner in it. Know of any one?

Yeah, a golden font would be perfect.
Well, just make a post in the Request Section. Many people request awards there and there's always someone who is willing to make them.
Btw: Great new Aragorn banners, Lady Raine!

Thanks. Good Idea, I'll request it. I was thinking about doing it in three different colors. First pplace is gold, you guys pick what second and third place are.

What about a silver font for the 2nd place and a bronze one for the 3rd place then? Then it would be like real medals in a competition.
Btw: Sorry that I'm not that much online right now, but school's just so much right now. In two weeks it should be better again.

I like the idea Rose, Gold will be first, then silver second and bronze third. I'll make a request in the request forum right away.
Le's get back on topic, Let's say Aragorn went to Minas Tirith instead of Gandalf, how would things been different?

Happy B-Day, Aragorn! [I didn't knew that it is his birthday today;)]
Nice awards for the contest, Lady Raine! When will the Second Round start by the way?
And concerning the new discussion topic: Which part/scene do you mean? The one in ROTK when Gandalf goes to Minas Tirith together with Pippin?

Yeah, I did mean Pippen and Gandalf. The second round should start about next week.

I think if Aragorn had gone to Minas Tirith, he couldn't have won the Battle on the Pellenor Fields, as he couldn't have fetched the Army of the Deaths. Perhaps Theoden wouldn't have gone to Gondor with his men as well, as he wouldn't have been pressed by Aragorn then.
And maybe there would have been an argument with Denethor who wouldn't have left the throne to Aragorn. The two might even have had a fight about. I think it wouldn't have been that good, because with Gandalf going to Minas Tirith they avoided the direct confrontation between Aragorn and Denethor first of all.

Yeah, things would have been messy if Aragorn went to Minas Tirith.

Do you think his return like Tolkien described it in the books or the way PJ depicted it in the movie is more realistic? I mean all the stuff with Aragorn staying out of the city for a few days and so.

I think his return in the books is more realistic because he stayed out of the city because he wanted to cause no problems.

Yep, I agree. But this depiction would have been nearly impossible in the movies, as it would have taken too much time.

It would be, how long would the trilogies be if PJ did keep it to the book.

Well, if he also included Tom Bombadil and the return to the destroyed Shire plus some stuff from the appendixes, I guess that the whole trilogy would be about 12hours then instead of 9 or perhaps even longer. But I wouldn't mind, especially if he had included more Aragorn scenes then.
