I don't think Eragon is copying LOTR but there are similarities to it and star wars as well. Just similarities.

I own it... happily... and hopefully will soon own Eldest (there is now way I will be able to get it from the library! All the copies are checked out or on hold... and theres like 50 holds on it!)

I agree with TN... it is pretty! And I had printed out a picture of Eragon and a picture of Murtagh to show my friend who has alwo read the book and can't wait to see the movie... and she said Eragon was better looking than Murtagh!
But that is because shes into the blonde boys... I'm not... I'm into the brown haired, mysterious, ranger-like boys... lol!
(last night I read the first chapter of Eragon(just to re-read it) and read the part were Murtagh comes in (just to refresh my memory on how Christopher explains what he looks like))
