McAvoy is wonderful in it. He's perfect for his character.

I saw Becoming Jane last spring as well.. it didn't open at the same time worldwide.
As I've said before, I can't help seeing Mr Tumnus whenever I see poor McAvoy... (except in The Last King of Scotland, actually).

Just like Elijah Wood to me is no one but Frodo, McAvoy will be the same way.

Trapped in a faun's body... poor McAvoy...
Still he was not the worst part of the movie... Anne Hathaway pulled off an Austen portrait without wit and charm. Perhaps that was after all more like the real Ms Austen but I'd rather see a playful spark in her blue eyes than be bored with reality for two hours. *sigh*

Admittedly, I didn't see the spark from her even in the previews, so I'm not sure I'm gonna like it. But C'mon--- James McAvoy as the leading man. I don't think Hathaway has enough...expressive eyes---her facial expressions are fine, but her eyes don't seem to glow or anything, I always see them dark.

i've seen him in quite a few, n anyway the movie isn't that bad, i liked it better then the new Pride and Predijust movie, with Keria Knightly. But then i did watch the bbc versin first.
It is so much better then the other one!

I missed some chemistry between them... just something that would make it seem plausible that they were actually in love, like they claimed...
Ohh yeah, there is a BBC version of Pride & Prejudice. It's 6 hours long and I watched it in a marathon. My god, how they danced and danced and danced... I think there is a point to why it's a series and supposed to be watched in 6 different portions... It was okay though!

[color=white]The BBC Pride and Prejudice is going to have to be super-uber-duper awesome for it to beat the new film. I fail to see the attraction to Colin Firth, and he's going to have do something pretty special for me to like him as I like Mathew Macfadyn. I suspect that whoever plays Lizzie may actually be as good as or better than Keria Knightley but I'll see when I watch it I suppose.
