Yeah, same here. Though I'm not so sure how good I'll be at the whole poem thing, I don't write much. Anyone is welcome to use me in a story or whatever, I thought I'd say it now to cover everything.

This si a story I started writing. If u dont mind cud u have alook and tell me what u think of it?
But please dont Plagiarise it. Pretty please? Pretty Please with a cherry on top? Thank u . Its working Title is "The Shadow Order"

The storm had broken. The dawn was still yet far. Trees shone in hues of gold and silver and their branches moved slightly in the small breeze.
The perfect time for a raid.

At the base of a large hillock, General Gideon Stern of the armies of Tirlis arose with a start. Several times he had arisen in the night, yet none with such a sense of urgency. He dwelt as many soldiers did, sleeping lightly and always keeping his sword by his small cot. He arose, and shaking off the several young attendants, put his own armour on, as he had done for many years before. His body was scarred heavily and was as dark as seasoned wood, not the milky white it had been before this campaign. He put on a padded linen shirt, and then his richly adorned breastplate. Each piece of armour, vambraces, pauldrons, guantlets was placed deliberately, slowly, purposefully, as if for one moment, that piece of worked steel was the only thing that mattered in the whole of the universe. His helm was the last thing he took up. He stared at the reflection of his face in the helms burnished front. He smiled knowingly. Many years had passed since that day at Arach, where he had earned that scar over his left eye, where, since he was a common line trooper, had been the only place here he had been beaten. The General saw the rustling of the tent flaps and cooly turned to face the figure there. A man, as tall as Gideon’s six feet, armed in black armour with a sword girt at his waist looked at him readily.
“ Greetings Inquisitor Stein. Are we ready to implement our plans?”
“ Yes we are General. I have my Shadow Walkers ready to move.” The mysterious figure said in a toneless voice.
“What do your spies tell us of the enemies encampment and strength?” Gideon muttered in a somewhat inquisitive voice.
“ I myself have been in their encampment. My spies confirmed what I did under guise. They have six hundred spearmen in the first camp, three hundred mounted warriors in the second and nine hundred swordsmen in the third. They lack for mages however and so my spell of concealment went undetected.”
“Very Good. How many of your warriors have you chosen for this mission Inquisitor?”
“Thirty. The best I have. Both skilled in the use of sword and powerful in magics.”
Gideon nodded. The skill of the Shadow walkers was unquestioned. In all the armies of Tirlis, no other unit was more elite than the Shadow walkers. These men had drunk from the sacred cup of Araman the mage and had become immortal. They dwelt in the holy forests of Erendor, some 20 miles north of the capital Harmath. In the tower of the Griffen, they honed their skill in magic, swordsmanship and concealment until war called them away. In times of battle, they would arise fully armed in the sable black armour of their order and march tirelessly to the field of battle. They were to most only a whisper on the wind, and a word of dread for their foes. They numbered only five hundreds, and many were several hundreds old. The Inquisitor was the master of this order, and his armour bore the griffon badge of the Walkers, with a sword upraised in its claw to symbolise his role. He had been the Master for ten years, and had fought at Gideons side in many engagements. The General turned on his feet, put on his black helm with a red plume and said “ We ride now. May Eldas protect us both ”they clasped arms in greeting and left together.
Outside the larger tent there was a collection of shapes, men on foot. These were the vaunted Shadow Walkers. Many saw the General and made gestures of greeting which the general returned silently. The inquisitor gave them their orders and they all nodded solemnly. Then they knelt for a few moments, asking Eldas for strength and for guidance. They arose and started off into the night.
For they would return only after accomplishing one thing.......

Chapter two

The Hruthian sentry stood at attention, his cold hands grasping his spear shaft. Man this night is cold he thought. The days in his homeland of Hruth were hot and dry but the nights chilling to the core. He saw his captain go into his tent and fall onto a straw matress. He took his chances. He buried his spear in the sandy soil and padded stealthily towards a small watchfire. His hands rejoiced at the heat from the small flame, and for one moment he allowed the heat to wash over him like a wave of sheer pleasure. He heard a small rustling from the trees, and jumped swiflty and ran to pick up his spear. He walked to where he thought the noise had come, by the forests edge and looked for a while for anything unusual. Satisfied, he turned around towards the fire again. The next thing he felt was a hand on his bare chest, cold, unforgiving steel at his throat. Before he could think about breathing to shout for help, that steel had ripped across his neck He fell like a stone, and the soldier above him made several gestures.
From the woods, as if born from forest spirits, sprung many figures, swords drawn.
And at their head a familiar Figure stood.
Gideon.....

There were thirty huge tents of Hruthian spearmen, twenty men in each with their spears buried inthe earth next to them. Each soldier from the shadow walkers picked a tent and walked in silently. Then they brutally and efficiently slaughtered all who were in there with their swords and knives.Several awoke to have their voices silenced by the power of these killer’s magic. Within half an hour all warriors returned, and doing so giving their personal assurancethat every last man was currently lying in a pool of his own blood. Then the inquisitor nodded to two men who had a small rune on their shoulders. They turned around and mutterd incantations. Several tents burst into flames and the fire seemed to lick the against the cold whitey grey of the moon itself. Gideon bade on of the warriors come to him and said “ call Captain Tamir. Tell him to lead one thousand swordsmen to the forests on the South west road and ot await the enemy reinforcements. Tell him to make all haste.” The warrior bowed to Gideon. “of course, My Lord, I will go at once.” The soldier started to run back to the camp with all speed. Just like heir namesake, they marched stealthily towards the other major highway towards the other camp. They disappeared into the trees next to the road. To await the nine hundred swordsmen that were marching even as he waited.....

Today was incredibly awesome. The World History class went to Medieval Times and I was lucky enough to go too..so incredible! That place is seriously amazing. And I sat in the FRONT ROW!! Wow...I want to go back tomorrow. But I'll have to wait until next year. My friend sitting right next to me got the token from our knight, it was so cool! And on the way up (in a charter bus, yes!) we watched a Knight's Tale and on the way back we watched Monty Python and the Holy Grail. It was just an amazing day!

What does everyone think makes a true knight? As in what qualities would the perfect knight have?

Courage, Will, Strength, dexterity, Honor, Pride, and wanting to help. Yet not too proud, they must be a little humble because too much pride can lead to downfall. Trustworthy...

Some physical qualities would be they must use any kind of sword, bow, maybe lance and/or spear. Is good with horses. I mean, whats a knight without a trustful steed?

I dunno. I spose to be profienient in all ways of fighting is good in battle.
In the middle ages, the nobles and knights were seen as the generals and captains of an army, due to their high status. In the words of Kipling, a good knight, I feel must be able to " walk with kings - nor lose the common touch" The thing that motivates men most in hardship is a hand offered for succour, a stalwart friend and a man that they could follow. A man who will sit down at a supper table with the lowliest trooper, who shares barrack jokes with his soldiers and who puts themself on the line, even though they could comfortably sit in the rear and for love of his followers to lay down his life. Nobility is not a birthright, its defined by a persons actions.
These qualities are a bit old and archaic by some of todays standards, but still, nonetheless important I feel.
Important enough to warrant me typing them out in a way that I sound like Im giving a pep talk :-D
