Yeah I haven't been able to ride in forever because first it was rainy then it started to freeze so the water never really dried up it was just like ..well lets just say you step in a huge pile of manure in the field because you thought it was mud and the ice cracks and you fall in it..... :explode:

Haha aww poor you! One of the fields at my barn is just always really really muddy so your feet always sink in them. Its also not too good for my horses feet, so we have to take extra good care of them. Lady Raine your so lucky that you can use an indoor ring! I wish I had one at my barn. And i cant wait till spring and summer as well. Its so fun to ride and spend time at the barn! Im not really sure if im going to show yet on Mia, but I guess it depends where we are when the time comes. Also Lady Raine when you free lunge, do you use a round pen, or is it in the ring?

I no what you mean. In the fall the arean puts our horses hock deep in mud, and in the winter its all ice.

I'v tried free lunging before, but my horse did not understand that being tapped with the wip meant go faster. (I tapped, not hit)

My arena is pretty good. We have a few jumps set up in the middle, and it does get wet sometimes, but it clears up quickly.
Congrats on getting lessons Weeziey! That must be really excited. I should try riding western on Mia sometime! :P

By the way I just took tons of pictures at my barn today. Im going to post them in the "Your Life" section soon, so I dont spam with one with them all. I'll let you know when I have them up, then you guys can go take a look! Im very happy with them :)

Edit: Ok well I finally got all of the pictures up! Feel free to go take a look, took me awhile :P :D

I use a ring. But I have to stop because Dancer now thinks whenever we lunge, it's play time. I want my own indoor riding arenea, but I'm currently using my riding instructers.

Interesting thing happened today; Dancer bucked for the first time with me. It was a minor one and I managed to stay in the saddle, though I had her head bent and (unknowningly) my spurr was in her. She was spooking when my riding instructer was opening the shed doors and then she would raise her head and gawk outside, it was impossible to get her head lowered because she was stiff-necking and she kept doing and I got so frustrated I was bending her and hitting her in the mouth, (I know, vewry bad :disgust: ) but my riding instructer rode her so I could have time to breathe and once that little fiasco was over, everything went much better!

Thats never good! Haha hopefully she doesnt start a habit of doing it. Did she buck the this time because she spooked again? Hopefully she doesnt keep it up, and praying definatly does work

I rode Mia bareback a few days ago, because the ground wasnt frozen, but my hands were frozen so I didnt feel like putting the saddle on :P But I cantered her for the first time bareback, and it actually went pretty well! I didnt fall off at least haha. Her canter is extremly fast and bouncy. I went around once and then circled, but then stopped. It wasnt a very comfortable stop at all. Painful, and bouncy  I was very pleased though! She is such a good girl. She has been doing so well with lunging now too and listening to me! I really wish I could ride today, but its only 5 degress out! Im really not liking the winter :(

Cool! Dancer tried to buck me off because I had the spurr in her belly. She was alot better today; no spooking! But it takes forever to get into the trot! :disgust: Must have been fun riding bare-back. It's only in the twenties and thirties here in Ohio. :)

We're like in the fourties right now but it seems so much colder...Oh and I forgot to tell y'all I might start showing Ruby in hand in the spring! I have already started to leap at the possibility by starting to keep her tail up and braided, and by starting to work her 6 days a week 15- 20 minutes a day!

hm... my grandpa wants me to have a mule, my friend wants me to have an Andalusian, I'll have a few paints and Tennessee walkers... lol! I won't be breeding... just training! Like buying untrained horses for cheap, train them, and sell them for more!

^ That's a great way to do it. I started riding a very green horse who would have probably gone for a couple thousand. No he would go for atleast 10K because of all my training. :-P

Here's Diesel:
