I totally agree with you. We went on a hiking tour of the Brecon Beacons last year and I grow to love my home country more and more. My favourite place has to be Southerndown though. It's a beach on the south coast near Llanilltud fawr (Llantwit major).

Oh gosh, Big Brother. My aunt was obsessed with that show when I was in England last year. She got my mom, my friend, and I all into it. We've never watched it here in the states. I think my aunt called us and told us who won after we got home lol.

Oh Lord. Big Brother. Don't get me started on how much I despise it. I just think it's really stupid. My grandparents are obsessed... they tape every episode... it's really strange. I've never cared for it, and I promise myself i never will.

That's why I never have watched it. It seemed idiotic from the start if you ask me!!

Heaven help us here in Germany!! I love rain (except when I want to go swimming) and we ain't got none!! I mean, my father wanted to mow the lawn when we came back from holiday. Which lawn, please? All that's left is this, uh, patch of brown sand with a few weeds in it! Honestly!

I know they are stupid and I would never waste my time watching BB in the U.S. I think the fasination with me was the accents, I love british accents. Also my aunt was so into it, it was hard not to be into it as well with her enthusiasm.

I've always loved the British accents. Even when I was just little tiny geek.

It's also amazing how an accent changes the further north (or south) you go! For me the worst is to tell apart the Welsh and the Scottish accent. There was this priest and I was like: Ooh, listen, he's Welsh! And my aunt gave me a Look and said: He's Scottish! Oops!?
Welcome Turwaithiel!
