There was a likeliness of the large pureblooded wizarding families to be related to each other, but I just can't see something like lycanthropy causing a possible blood relation.

Remus CAN'T die until he absolutely SNOGS Tonks.

Okay, rather --- he can't die until he impregnates Tonks, actually.... [giggles]

 *agrees with Kit* :-D

At LEAST he has to kiss her! :-D

I doubt that Remus will go anywhere, but if he does die, I agree he must kiss Tonks first. But then again, don't you think it would be easier on Tons if she went on hoping that they could have or could not have been together instead giving her the idea they are together and then breaking apart by death. But I guess its better that they do have even that time together... then again, nothing may even happen to Remus like that! :D

I read some great Marauders fan fic that I'll post later.

Which is why I don't think Rowlings is going to write Tonks or Remus off, it'd just be too cruel!

before we read HBP, I'll bet at least some of us thought that killing off Dumbledore would be too cruel.

Well, I knew DD was going to die by the end of OotP so it didn't come as a surprise to me.

I just can't see Remus dying. I can't see Remus pretending to die --- Remus is just a survivor.

you have a point there. but then again Sirius was much more vital and I couldn't see him dying either.

I don't think anyone thought Sirius was going to die because JK Rowling let it slip that someone alive during book 1 was going to die. We assumed it was actually someone in the book and Harry actually knew about.

Anyways. Back to Remus.

From reading Shades by FernWithy --- I'm really intrigued by the comparison and contrast between Remus and Greyback.

We assume that the only way for a werewolf to keep his state of mind during a transformation would be the Wolfsbane potion, but what if Greyback has mastered his control over his own mind during transformations? Doesn't that make him more dangerous?

yes that would be frightening for Remus. I have a feeling Remus and Greyback'll be going into an all-out duel in the next book.

or maybe not. active imagination...

perhaps Remus could learn how to control himself with the wolfsbane potion :)

I wonder if Greyback even kept his WAND. Or if he has it hidden somewhere and forbids the other werewolves to carry wands.
