Lol. I read it last month. And since I'm still in a Middle-earth mood, I might read it again after I finish reading Lord of the Rings again..

I haven't read the Sil in two years. I'm in Middle-Earth mode too, but I can't read LOTR till I have finished my stack of books.

Wouldnt U like ot know
Its froma movie called the sword of Xanten, which is based on a tale from a group of poems called the Nibelungenlied.
Oh and btw Lady Raine, I like th epic in ur sig that says " live like youll die tommorow" and all that its anice thing. But enuff about pics. Do u think that Turin is really as bad as he is sorta made out to be in the sil?

I don't really think so. I didn't really think he was all that bad when I read the book, but I had a few days to read it and so had to skim over it, but from what I remember, I didn't think he was really that bad.
*shrug* but that was this summer I read it, and I've not read much Tolkien since.

Thank You. A philospher once said that. I don't think Turin was bad in the Sil, he was just really confused. I still got really creeped out that he married his sister though, but he didn't know it. Eonwe's Best Mate, I gotta question about your usename, is Eonwe Eowyn or somebody totally different?

Ooh--thanks, EonwesBestMate. I've heard of the Nibelungenlied before. Rather, I heard of it as "Der Ring die Nibelungen" or something like that. I looked it up, and it was an Opera or something, based off of those poems. Very cool music.

I agree. Turin is a good guy methinks at heart, and it was Morgoths Curse that gave him a really bad hand of cards. Father captive,Flees Doriath, Kills his best mate, gets a city destroyed and marries his sister. That is some seriously Bad luck lol.
Im being bombarded with non topic Questions . First,Lady Raine, Eonwe is the name of th eHerald of Manwe. He is I think th emightiest in arms of all in arda, an dhe seemed to be abit underpreciated, like he needed a best mate. So its not Eowyn ( Spelling aint taht bad lol
Second, Aerandir. Ur right, Der ring Die nibelungen is another term for it roughly translated as the ring of the nibelungs. It is an opera and teh sword of Xanten is arough movie interpretataion. Also Kelenloth, of course u can join lol.

Yeah, I heard about the site. It's supposed to be based on Aragorn's birth.
