Well, I just downloaded GIMP for the third time and this time got past the download and look at all the buttons. ![]() So I'd like to join, this time I'm determined to get to making stuff. Edit: Okay, next day, having a bit of trouble blending. It doesn't seem to quite blend, it's more like just erasing bits, and there's still lots of distinction between pictures... help? |

Yeah, I sorta find that too. I've been using a mix of smudge and blur and eraser but it doesn't work the greatest ![]() And I'd like to join ![]() ![]() |

I figured out what I was doing wrong... it still doesn't do it too well.... but I had the wrong setting on the eraser. The sig and avi I have right now I made. They're my best ones so far. |

A tip for blending is to make sure that you've selected the "feather edges" option when you're selecting the part of the picture you want to use. I talked about it a little bit HERE. |

Thanks for the welcome! It's not my very first banner- I made a few while I had a Photoshop trial awhile back. lol I made it mostly by fiddling with effects, and hitting undo if I didn't like something. lol |

^ Welcome! Dark: My avies are awful. This Aslan one is the only one that's made it past being saved. I can't get text on stuff very well, it looks really bad usually. |
