I would have to say The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe and The Last Battle. Action senes. In The Last Battle with everyone coming back together after death, that was just so... spiritually enlightening, I suppose you could say. That just took the book to a whole other level. Beyond the basic children's storybook. Like when the mouse (I can't think of his name for the life of me and I don't have the book handy.) in The Voyage of the Dawn Treader sacrificed himself into the unknown, into Aslans' holy place, that was just incredible. That book may be a close second/third in my list of favorites just because of that scene.
As for Aslan... he is such a gentle giant. I love how ironic it is and how suitable it is to have a great, gentle, caring, loving, wise Lion as a type of God and Creater of a land and it's inhabitants. He is just so calm and patient and wise that it just aweing to see such features in such a huge beast. What is not to love?
Toodles,
Wandering Darkness

Ah yes he is gentle- but not a tame lion indeed. He is indeed a God like character and anyone who disagrees go back and read the books again.
