Oi! I will definitely be joining this club, though I am not new to the metal mouth experience.
I had braces for two and half years, then being a quite daft I didn't wear my retainer so that I could chew gum, and now I've landed myself back in the orthodontists chair. Just got them back on with some bright purple bands that are a pain in the neck to brush.

Sometime's they don't, I think it depends on your orthodontist. Mine wouldn't put them on til I could show him that I was able to brush my teeth really well. The bands just make it easier for food to get caught.

Thats true, however my dentist doesnt really care. Its funny because my ortho and my regular denstist hate each other.

I have two: one is a woman who's extremely warm and friendly, and another who's a guy and isn't...quite as nice. But almost everyone at my orthodontist is really cool.

Mine, most of them are pretty cool. I actually was their when they werent great at all. 2 rooms and a lobby. Now they have like 7 rooms with a really big lobby. Its cool really.!

I went to the ortho today....again. Well, they changed my rubber bands and the bands that connect my teeth. I also found out exactly how long I have been there. I have been there exactly 8 years!

Hey I'll join!! I'm getting braces in like 2 days anyway and I'm also getting headgear but I only have to wear it at night *makes a sigh of relief*. Hey but I'm just wondering does getting yur braces on hurt?
