That's a rather large age difference... I think your biggest problem would be making it understandable for the younger kids but still making the story worthwhile for the older ones. My advice would be to try not to make your plot twists too twisty and to use a universal theme that everyone can relate to, like helping a friend in need or compassion. The suicidal elf may be a bit too intense for the little ones.

That is such a cool story idea! I'm sure they'll like it a lot. (and I would suggest making it quite not as complex for the younger kids too)

I do think it's a good idea for a story. But LDM may be right about the intensity. I don't think it would be good to expose 6 and 7 year olds to that sort of experience. But you don't have to change your story, just make sure you're being realistic about who your audience is, that's all.

True, and then again, I may just make it completely for the older ones.

i have a question!

would it be to much to name a male character Madisen? i have this really proud character planned out, but my friend said it ruined him to name him Madisen Saitou.

i for one think it would be rather amusing to have a male character named Madisen... or Mackenzie for that matter!

what do you think?

having a female name can be one of the things that seriously ticks this proud character off.

::grins::

that's the whole point.

::grins some more::

but NO!!! my friend just says I should name him Alexander or something! not Madisen!

and Madisen is a boys' name, as it's a form of Madison, which means "Son of Matthew"

I still think it'd be funny to have one of the other characters, his name is Kane, to tease him and call him Madi...

I agree. It depends on what type of character you're going for. But Alexander doesn't stand out.

I'm glad you're going with Madisen. :) Yeah... Alexander just doesn't grab your interest, like Madisen would. I also like the idea of the proud man getting teased over his girly name!!!!!!

How do yawll like the name "Jane Black"?

I like it a lot!

Jane normally isn't a name I'm terribly keen on, but I like it. :D

I've been known to name female characters Shane before because it's a form of Jane...

I really should start paying attention to giving characters names respective to their gender, shouldn't I? *laughs*
