Ohh.. have fun on whatever you are doing, Jax!
Happy early birthday, Eäryende! [party smiley]
Well, like most of the forum probably knows by now (at least the part called Your Life ) I've just survived a week of five exams in Spanish. But we're still suffering about 40C in the hottest corner of Europe...

It's been warm here, too. Even though it's warm in summer here in Texas, summer hasn't even officially started and we've had about a month now of 100+ degree temps (which is almost 40 in celsius?). I don't notice it because I stay inside all day and when I do go out it's after the heat of the day has passed and/or it's night.
Thank goodness for air conditioning.

Happy Birthday... finally, huh? How are you going to celebrate?
And by the way, yes, 100 F is almost 40 degrees, 104 F is 40 C to be precise!

Well, one of my friends (who is a few years older than me) and I are going to a Tex-Mex restaurant this afternoon for appetizers and margaritas
My brother keeps insisting on us (he, my mom, and I) going to eat tonight and getting him a margarita, because he's never had one. Even though he has access to alcohol. It's funny listening to him wheedle.

Ahh yeah, the much-anticipated Magaritas (oh, I hope you had the frozen ones ).
It sounds like a nice way to celebrate... really I wish I could go with you... I really miss like going out to dinner with friends and have a drink or two afterwards...
I hope you had mucho fun!

It would be so awesome to be a leap year baby, in its own unique way!

I had a good time last night, took me a little while to get over the taste of the alcohol (I had a strawberry frozen margarita).
Earlier today, my mom told me a former coworker of hers (who she met for lunch) told her that Baby A's (where I went) doesn't use tequila in their margaritas, they use grain alcohol.
I was wondering why the limit was 3. Now I guess I know. But I came home last night not feeling drunk in the least.

But what is grain alcohol? Something really strong I assume...

Ooh, that sounds interesting! I had the same experience, I went home feeling perfectly fine and not drunk or tipsy at all. It's nice to find someone else who had a nice laid back 21st birthday, because I keep hearing stories about people who go out and get plastered drunk... I'd like to remember my birthday...thank you very much

I think it's pretty much pure alcohol. Wowza.
I didn't want to get plastered... that doesn't sound fun. Especially the after-effects. Yuck.

^Umm okay, yeah, that would make sense! I still think it's funny they have a 3 drinks limit... !
And I'm definitely a moderate drinker, like going out to have a drink or two with some friends or a glass of wine with my parents. I really love dancing when I go out, and it gives way too much motorical challenge trying to dance when all plastered.
