yeah, that would be weird... ARAGORN WAS 78? that's news for me. i didn't read the whole book, but then how old was aragorn when he died? I'm asking so much questions...... sry...

Uhm, I have to say that Aragorn wasn't 78, but 88. He turned 88 on March 1st (I think) So, in the wasr of the Ring he was 87. And yep, he died at the age of 210.

Yeah... Somehow it's surprising...When I first saw the FOTR in the cinema and I saw Aragorn I was like "WHAT??? That's ARAGORN??? He's 87 and looks like 30! " well, when I found out how old the actor,Viggo Mortensen, really is, I liked Aragorn a bit more, but he's still very different from the one in the book (all the characters are, somehow....)

all the characters are a bit different, I have ot agree with you I mean Aragorn, looks.... cute. and in the book well i always thought ofhim as kind of a grandpa-like figure ya know?

Yea Im not sure about this but since hes one of the Dunediens or however you spell it I think that he ages slower, in appearance that is.

Hmmm Aragorn a grandpa-like figure? Can you imagine a grandpa (non-wizard) running around on a battle field being one of the best fighters? No, I just think he didn't look that good....he is described as very tall, dark, with dark, long hair and grey eyes. And also with dirty clothes *g*. Sure, if you always live outdoors you can't look like a clean elf! But grandpa-like? no... Yes, he's a Dúnadan, and therefore OF COURSE doesn't look like 88!
