"Oh excuse me m'dear!" Molly called and she side-swiped Tonks by the doorway and enchanted a strainer.

"Um, do you need any help, Moll?" Tonks asked nervously even in her own kitchen.

"Actually, I'm quite done, dear. But if you don't mind, could you bring out cups and drinks?" Molly said and set up Tonks's NEW dish set on the dining room table. The table looked quite warm. Tonks went over to her cupboard and piled cups out and rinsed each one by hand so as no spiders were in them.

In the living room, Remus was sitting thoughtfully on the couch, alone this time. George and Fred were over with Hermione, Ron, and Harry teasing the fishes cruelly. Arthur Weasley was engrossed in the small train running around the tree. Bill, Charlie and Kingsley were sitting on the stools in the corner playing chess.

'Tonks seems strange,' Remus thought to himself. 'Well, of course she would seem so --- she wanted to make dinner. But Molly showed up... '

"Everyone! Dinner's ready! Come on in the room, now dears!" Molly called from the other room.

George and Fred rushed from the fish to the table, the chairs around them slightly spinning as they sat down. Harry,Ron, Hermoine and Ginny all came next not quite as fast. Bill, Charlie, Lupin and Kinsley walked slowly to the table. Remus went over and sat next to Tonks as everyone else settled themselves in.

"Well that everyone... no wait where's Arthur." Molly said a bit confused.

"Probably still tinkering with the train mum." Fred said looking hungryily at the food infront of him.

"ARTHUR!" Molly called. She got no answer so she stormed into the living room. And emerged a few seconds later, pulling Mr. Weasely in tow by the ear. She let him go and he straightened, and sat down, with one last longing glance at the train.

Tonks sat quietly between Ginny and Remus -- the food was split from main dishes and was seperated on each of their own dishes. Tonks took a bite, amazed at how good it tasted from the junk that was in her kitchen. Everyone else was eating merrily. Tonk suddenly felt sullen again, and in result, she pushed her piece of carrot back and forth on her plate.

Lupin noticed Tonks playing with the carrot on her plate.
"Maybe you and Molly can cook dinner tomorrow, together." he said trying to brighten up her mood.

"Remus, I really ---" Tonks began and was cut off by Ron.

"Hey! Budge up! You can't hog the potatoes forever!" Ron exclaimed.

"Why I think I can," Fred replied. Her had his newest product in his hands. And whenever Ron got the potatoes, George or himself would summon them back.

"Is ickle Ronniekins going to cry?" Taunted George.

Hermoine rolled her eyes, muttering "Boys."While Harry was trying to help Ron in his efforts to get the potatoes.

"Boys!! Didn't I tell you NOT to bring that thing!" Molly reprimanded her children and Ron was able to snag the bowl of potatoes triumphantly. Arthur made no attention and went on talking to Bill about the fascinating muggle contraption.

Fred summoned Molly's wand before she could grab it. "Now, mum. We know you said not to, but Tonks and Lupin were dying to see it. Weren't you, guys?"

Tonks and Lupin kept eating merrily.

"Oh that's genius, that is." George retorted. Molly got up and grabbed back her wand and the toy manually, the muggle-way.

"Now, I'll have none of this at the table." Molly sat back in her seat.

"We really need to move out mate." Fred said to George in a whisper.

"I do believe your right." George said to Fred.

"Where to though? Diagon Alley? The Leaky Cauldron? The Forbidden Forest? The Bathroom?" Fred questioned.

"Diagon Alley should suffice," George said in a professor like manner, "but we shall have to see. And maybe a store too." he added the last part in a whisper.

"I can see it now, Weasley Wizard Wheezes, grand opening, a line for miles down Diagon Alley. Glorious," Fred said.

"Wonderous," George added.

"Out of the question!" Molly said quickly. "Where would you get the money for a store?"

"Well, that's one of the finer details mum, we're broad picture men." Fred and George answered.

"And as much intelligence for a whole new Parliament, they are." Hermione said sarcastically.

"We like to play along," Ginny said back giggling.

Kingsley and Charlie were now debating the necessities of Muggle concealment in a wide forest area.

Tonks looked over into the living room to see the clock strike 11 pm. 'An hour 'til Christmas.'

"An hour 'til Christmas, mum! We didn't bring our presents!" Ron exclaimed.

"We could fix that! If someone hadn't taken away our pride and joy." Fred and George said in unison and Molly hrmphed in reply. She swished her wand and loads of presents appeared under Tonk's tree stopping the train in it's tracks.

"Hey!" Arthur exclaimed.

"You can play with the train later Arthur." Molly replied to his protest.

"Ginny, Ron --" Fred said seriously.

"You had best go to bed --" George continued.

"Santa shall be coming in an hour --" Fred added.

"And he can't see you up and about --" George finished.

Ginny stuck her tongue out, Ron made a face. Harry was laughing as Hermoine reached for a book.

"Hermione, didn't your parents want you home for Christmas?" Harry asked, turning to her, distracting her from her book.

Hermione shrugged. "They took a skiing trip up to the States --- I believe it was in Winsconsin."

"You didn't want to go as well?" Harry inquired.

She shrugged again, "It's nothing different really, I've gone skiing before, it just hasn't been my favorite thing to do..." With that she went back to her book.

"Do you still write to Krum?" Harry asked again and without noticing Ron being quite interesting in the conversation now. Hermione glanced over at Harry and back to her book.

"Yes...about every week or so. The owls don't go quite as fast as we want them too unfortunately." Hermione smiled a bit. "He's doing well, and he once said he was glad you won the tournament actually."

"Why didn't you tell me before?"

She shrugged again. She'd been doing that alot..."I guess I didn't think you really cared."

Tonks stared at the ticking clock and thought about the gift in the closet. 'Well....tonight is Christmas Eve....'

^Finally!The gift in the closet!!!I wonder what could it be...

I should probably give Remus his gift, but... Tonks thought.

Ron elbowed Harry in the ribs.

"What was that for?" Harry asked.

"For asking about Krum." Ron retorted.

Hermoine, who appeared to be reading, broke out into giggles.

"WHAT?!?!" Ron asked whirling on her.

"Nothing... just.. just nothing.." she said, amid giggles.

Ron rolled his eyes, and muttered, "Girls."

Molly stood up from the table. "Fred, George help me clear the table so we can have dessert."

"Yes mum."

"Whatever you say mum." They answered.

"Stop that." Molly snapped. "You all go into the living room and we'll have pie out there instead of at the table." she said to everyone still seated at the table.

Tonks sat down on the couch, and Remus sat next to her. She smiled weakly at him and then glanced back at the closet.

(Whats the gift.. I wanna know so bad)

"Mum, could we open the presents yet?" Ginny asked as Molly handed her a piece of pie. Tonks saw the pie and instantly thought 'Hey....where'd that come from...'

"No yet, Ginny dear --- you all are going to get your presents tomorrow morning when it's Christmas MORNING." Molly said handing Ron his piece of pie.

"Well technically dear, it is Christmas morning once it strikes midnight." Arthur said eating his pie. "It won't hurt to break the strict tradition this year, I mean, we ARE at Tonks --- and the presents are here!"

"Oh, fine." Molly said shoving Fred and George's pies to them.

"Well thank you, mum." They said sarcastically as they tried and save the pie from sliding off the plate and onto their laps.

"Well, are you sure Arthur? I mean, it IS traditional for the---" Tonk began.

"Nonsense! I'm sure it's much more fun here and now then later and home!" Arthur said merrily.

The clock struck and Christmas day came.

"Woohoo! Presents!!" Ginny, Fred and George rushed to the tree frantically reaching for the biggest boxes to see if it was for them. Tonks fidgeted nervously as everyone was opening their presents.

"Dora?" Remus called her. It was a term of endearment wasn't used daily. Tonks looked over to him and held out a small gift wrapped in tissue paper. "I'm afraid it's not much."

She took the gift and held it almost tenderly. She rubbed the tissue paper with her thumb and kept thinking about the closet. She looked up at him and smiled for a second and walked over into the hallway and opened the closet.

Remus kept his eyes on her, curious and almost triumphant. 'I knew those weren't potatoes.'

She came back and sat on the couch next to him. All of the Weasleys and Kingsley were marveling at Charlie's new dragon shirt -- it even blew fire! Tonk gave Remus the wrapped box and held the present he gave her up. "We can open together, then." She said.

Remus took the present and looked curiously at it. He nodded and started undoing the ribbon wrapped around it. Tonks in unison starting undoing the tape keeping the tissue paper together. Behind the red paper, she found a compact that was very purple, a rich purple and with ornate designs on it. Tonks looked up.

Remus had opened the lid and took out a small station clock themed with a full moon and clouds all around it. On the back of the huge cloud that held the actual clock there engraved 'Remus J. Lupin - When Full Moons Bring Beauty'.

Tonks looked at his face, eager for an expression. Remus's face bloomed into a smile.

"I thought that maybe you could use a bit of full moon once in a while and not make you cringe at it as well." Tonks said almost sheepishly. "It was either you liked it or hated it so."

"I love it, Dora." Remus said.

"Likewise." Tonks said holding up the compact. "Now, I can change my appearance in public and not worry that I look like Mad-Eye."

Everyone was busy opening their presents. Hermoine was surrounded by a mountain of books that she began reading with a smile stuck on her face.

Ron was given some owl treats for Pig and a Chudley Cannons shirt with which the players actually flew around the shirt, playing a game of Quidditch.

Harry got more supplies for his Broomstick Kit. And some of Fred and George's newest products. He and Ron began testing them out in the corner.

As always everyone had sweaters from Mrs. Weasley. And Mr. Weasley was exstatic about recieving a series of plugs and his very own train set.

Tonks, was looking in her compact and changing the color of her hair. She finally decided on a pale green color.

"How does it look?" She asked Remus.

"Beautiful." he answered, taking his eyes off his watch to look at her.

"Well appreciate it, because I went through loads of trouble trying to snag it from a witch in Diagon Ally." Tonks said airily leaning back onto the couch next to him.

"Well I should thank that witch then, shouldn't I?" Remus smiled knowing she was really being mischievous.

"Are you leaving tomorrow?" Tonks asked.

"In the evening. Dumbledore's sent me off into the wilderness to try and negotiate with a pack of werewolves." Remus sighed.

"Again? You've gone on 3 trips all ready!" Tonk exclaimed, obviously concerned.

"I know, but I want to help the Order. And Dumbledore's being as gracious as paying me for my work, I can't just turn it down." Remus tried to calm her.

Tonks stayed quiet and Remus knew she was still disliking it.

There was a tapping at the window. Tonks looked up and it was a beautiful brown-feathered owl with piercing eyes. "That's a new one I haven't seen before."

She got up and everyone watched her open the window and the owl flew in perching itself on Hermione's shoulder. There was a large package with it and as soon as it was situated on Hermione's shoulder, it dropped it in her lap.

"Do you know that owl, Hermione?" Tonks asked as she closed the window.

Hermione nodded sheepishly.

"Yes, it's Viktor's -- he must've sent me something." Hermione said as she gave the owl one of Ron's treats for Pig with an indignant cry from Ron, himself.
