I would like to join. :)

When I was 6, I took part in ACT II, the homeschool theatre group that performs plays every summer for younger kids that were/aren't old enough to be in the older group called Broadway on the Driveway.
I was in those every summer when I was younger. I was a maid in Annie, which was the first play they did; Marta, in The Sound of Music; the Queen in Cinderella; a Lost 'Kid' in Peter Pan; a chorus member in The Wizard of Oz; a Narrator in It's Cool in the Furnace, and that's all I can remember at the moment. :P
My sister actually directed them with another homeschool friend.

Alas, I do them no more because my half time school does not end early enough in the summer. :(

I still love acting and singing, though. :)

Hello! I would like to join! I love theater especially Opera, I just went to see La Fille Du Regiment (The Daughter of the Regiment) in french of course, a couple weeks ago, at the Florida Grand Opera. I'm not in theater, cause I'm way too shy but I love it. I'm part of the chorus in school plays, and yeah! I love theater and singing! :-)

BTW anyone can join. I LOVE THEATRE...I've been in tons of plays. Lets see the most recent I was Pepper in Annie and then in a Broadway touring production of Annie I was a soloist orphan but not an official one. I was Tootles and then I was Twin #1 in Peter Pan. Dr Livesy in Treasure Island. I was in Wizard of Oz as a chorus member and an apple tree-good times, my dog was toto in that.

Right now I'm in a play called Once on this Island and I play Erzulie, the goddess of love.

I envy all those who actually play... I´m always the one that watches - I´m too nervous to be an actor and I forgot the text in one minute. >.<

Can I join?

I act as well, and I plan on becoming an actress right now.

I first started acting on the for-the-family level in little plays I made up on the spot-I was asbout 5 at the time i started doing that. I acted ij public for the first time in fifth grade, i was omne of the starring characters of Amelia in a Drama Day Camp where you had to create a play. Amelia was a girl (this took place in the frontier) who sold flowers, and becouase of Big Bob Bitterboot there was no water and i went over to the bad side to get water and left my friend, then bounced back.

In sixth grade I played the Mirror Bearer (which was a very small role) for Lancelot Pancelot, a rather vain kinight in a Drama Club play (yes, my intermediate school has a Drama Club) Hyronomouas A. Frog, the Frog Prince, which is a spin on the classic frog prince story.

Over the summer before seventh grade in drama camp I played the role of Teacher (a good-sized role) in a play about the kidnaopping of Show Time Pal by Pal Time Show (<that got confusing, I was alos the oldest in my group. And everyone messed up their lines. Except me, so I got confused. ARRRGGHHHH.)

The school didn't have any play in seventh grade, but this year I've gotten the role of Buisnesswoman, one of the two starring roles, in the play Loonies & Snatchers, which is about a day where three peoople have escaped from the insane asylum and at the same time a person is impersonating an old lady to catch a purse-snatcher and i accidentally pick up the purse and get handcuffed to a benchg, it gets really complicated after that. I don't get a name because I refuse to reveal it to the cop (impersonator). It is a very large role,m and lots to memorize, sooo...but I'm really excited to have the role, it's hilarious.

So far I've only acted in silly plays, but I want to get to plays off the school-l,ike level. my friend Cassie does plays like that in a club she's in, I should ask her abuot it.

So that's wha ti've done for acting!

I have seen very few plays.

I do enjoy the Nutcracker, as the Quad-City Ballet performs it excellentely every year.

However, that is more of a ballet then a play.

Can I join too? I'm an actress/singer, and I absolutely <333333333333333333333 theatre. I haven't been able to participate in many plays, cuz there aren't many oppurtunities where I live (a REALLY tiny town in Connecticut, a really tiny state) but I jump @ every chance I get. I was gonna be in my school play this year (Bye Bye Birdie) but I couldn't even make the auditions, yet alone most of the rehearsals (cuz my choir rehearsals interfere w/ everything, which is why I'm quitting next year). So I was sad, but a lot of my friends were in it, so I helped out @ one performance, so I atleast saw it, but I wish that I could have been in it... Oh well, maybe next year. I also try to attend as many plays as possible. I actually saw a play yesterday called "Pippin", which was... let's just say... very... interesting. And later on this year, my 1st semester acting class is going on a field trip to see a Broadway play. We're seeing either "Hairspray" or "Wicked", and personally I'm hoping that we see "Wicked" cuz I want to see it sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo bad (I listen to the sountrack a lot, and I <333333 the songs. Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth are both so incredibly awesome!!! :)) so I really hope we see it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But I've heard good things about "Hairspray" too. But idk which one we're gonna go to, cuz as far as I'm concerned my teacher hasn't decided yet. Anyone here have a preference between "Hairspray" or "Wicked"?
But I'm hoping to go w/ a bunch of my friends this weekend to see "RENT" @ a nearby theater!!! I am obsessed w/ RENT!!!!!!!!!!!!! W00T!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We're hoping to wait outside the theater a few hours before the show so we can buy "rush tickets" and get front-row seats for only $20!!! I'm still waiting to hear back from a few of them, tho. But I can't wait!!!!!!! *sings* "No day but today!!!!!" :jump:

Ooooooh, ur in "Once On This Island"? That's such an awesome play!!! I was in it in 6th grade, and I played Andrea (actually 1/2 of Andrea, cuz each part was played by atleast 2 people, so I had to share my role) and I was gonna be in it again last summer @ a theater camp program, but I couldn't do it. :( But a few of my friends were in it, so I went to it one night. But I wish I could have been in it again, cuz twas sooooooooooooooooooooo much fun!!! *sings* "We dance to the earth, we dance to the water, the gods awake and we take no chance!"
Wow, that was a pretty long post. Sry about that.
