Hi!:P I saw Kreator and Exodus a few days ago (and Belphegor, but I've seen them a few times already so it wasn't that special) and it was epic!

You see a lot of bands there, Haldir
I've never heard of Kreator and Exodus, what kind of metal are they?

Thrash.
Kreator are meh imo, never liked them. Exodus are awesome though, been a fan of there's since the late 80's.
I just heard that Testament are playing here in July
I've waited 14-15 years to see them, as they always seemed to avoid playing live here and only playing in England and other places in Europe and I missed the Clash of the Titans show as no-one would go with me
So hopefully gonna get tickets to see them live finaaaaaaally.

Ah, okay. I don't care for much Thrash metal really. I've tried before but it just didn't fit me right.

I'm just an old fart that grew up on it in the late 80's/early 90's It's got it's good and bad bands like any sub-genre of metal.

Naturally My boyfriend got me into it a while ago, he's absolutely obsessed with old school thrash.
But ohh Testament! I would LOVE to see them, hurry up and get your tickets! XP

Everyone has their own definition of an old fart these days I feel like I'm beoming one already and I was only born in 83 It can't be right, I don't feel it I didn't grow up around metal, I wish I did though but my parents didn't like that kind of music. My mother can't stand it, it's horrible noise to her XD My younger sister listens to metal as well but she likes that brutal death metal which I don't like, my best guy friend likes that stuff too but he also has a very mixed taste of different sub-genre of metal like I do. Ha! I figured that much I don't have the extra to spend (who the hell does right now) on stuff like that, nor do I have any nearby friends who share my music taste and concerts are no fun alone.

I was born in '76 XD
I didn't grow up in it either. Not till I stole my brothers borrowed copy of Reign in Blood and Live Undead...then I was hooked. My parents just thought it was a phase. 22 years on, I'm still banging my head till it can't bang no more.
I'm pissed at Paganfest quite frankly. Last time they played in England..now it looks like there not even coming to the UK at all this year. Really not happy.
Also looks like I may be missing out on the Alestorm/Týr that's on a week this coming Monday
I don't get to shows often now being the responsible mother n'all so this is a huge blow for me.
I'm gonna go sulk now.

Awesome, you're 15 years older than me!:D
But oh yeah, Reign In Blood's the best. I didn't grow up on metal either (well duh) or really around it, I - by chance - heard my sister listening to Blind Guardian and she suggested that I might like it since they have tons of Tolkien references (Nightfall), and I did! Fell in love with them right away. I was really into the symphonic/speed stuff cause it sounded lovely to my ears and it's easier for even non-metal listeners to appreciate Hansi's lovely singing voice. But as for death/black/thrash and such genres, well... acquired taste really, but I really enjoy those genres just as much as I do symphonic and folk metal now, even though it took longer for me to really get into them.
But oh that really sucks...well I hope you somehow find away to be able to go, Tyr/Alestorm put on the best show when they were here a month ago!:(
As for Paganfest Europe, yes I noticed they have a LOT of Germany dates too... it's as though they're forgetting that there's more to Europe than Germany and Austria.

I very much doubt I'll be able to go to Alestorm, I had to buy a new cooker thanks to flooding from my neighbours in the flat above and I have to be very picky about which shows I go to now, as I don't have the option of many babysitters. So it's Testament, who I've been a fan of for many years or Alestorm who'll tour again. I'd love nothing more than to be able to do what I used to and go to every gig I wanted, but it's not possible anymore. I has responsibilities that exceed my gig wants.
I'm so angry at the promoters of Pagan Fest it's not even funny. Good festivals never come to Scotland ever. There either in England or Europe and I can't get to either.

Yeah you're right. But I'd pick Testament too! Which reminds me... I just found out that they're playing here on May 20, fancy that! I am so down for that. I hope I won't have to go alone.
And yeah, it's like that here as well for Paganfest, they're really *beep* up with their organizing. They keep opening up all these shows at new locations on different Canadian provinces and all that, but they actually cut down on the American tour dates as they give Canada more, which is stupid cause they were received very well in America last year. We expected more dates/locations to open up in America this year not less. Sucks for them in America :\

Well...at least you get Paganfest there lol
Trying to get a festival to come North of the border is like blood out of a stone. All the good ones are in England like Bloodstock.
Should be getting my Testament tickets at some point very soon. Thought I'd have to wait, but Iron Maiden:Flight 666 and Outlander weren't released at my local cinema so I have a wee bit extra to spare yaay.
More good gig news is...Amon Amarth are playing at the end of October so I'm most definetly going to see that. Though it's at the expense of seeing Ensiferum live for the first time. But...I don't care. It's Amon Amarth! XD

Ohh go see Amon Amarth! Ensiferum you can see another time, you won't be missing anything; they're always exactly the same live, they even always say the same stuff to the crowds every time like we don't remember what they said last time. Petri's really original...

Oh I'm definetly going to see Amon Amarth again. My other half has only seen them supporting Dimmu Borgir, so he's quite keen to see them do a full set. Hopefully they'll bring another awesome support band like last time.
Ensiferum, I dunno when they'll tour again. I do like them...just not as much as Amon Amarth , so I'm not overly upset at missing them.
