Welcome, fellow Evanna-fans!

This club is quite simply meant to be a place for all of us to discuss what we like (and dislike?) about Evanna Lynch, and all other things about her that we can think of.

For those of you who might not know, Evanna Lynch is the actress who plays the role of Luna Lovegood in the newest Harry Potter movie; Order of the Phoenix. (click!)
Personally, I think she did an outstanding job, but there is of course always room for disagreement.

I don't think there is more that needs be said. If someone wants to make a banner or five, feel free to do so. Otherwise I will make sure one is made :)

Yay, first member! Welcome :D

And I agree, I can't wait to see her in HBP and DH - she was just how I pictured the book version of Luna.

And she was how Rowling pictured her too! And it's great that she's such a big fan and that she's always wanted to play Luna! I only wish that they have her say "Wit beyond measure is man's greatest treasure."

Mhm. I don't actually remember her saying that in the book (but I haven't read it in about two years...), but it's such an important link to DH.

I love the pudding quote that I have in my banner, though. Was that in the book, or did they just make it up to make her seem more "loony"?

May I please join? I think that she did a great job of playing and that it is super cool that she was a fan of Harry Potter and Luna even before joing the Harry Potter cast to play Luna. :) Oh, and by the way your Luna banner is really cool. My favorite line of hers was probabley "You're not going mad. You're just as sane as I am". It is just so ironic...no...hypocritical of her...(though Luna does not realize it)... :roll:. Then when she had the Quibler (spelling? :blush: I am quite sure that I spelled that incorrectly...sorry) upside down very Luna like. :lol: Evanna really did a great job of playing her, :-D

Luna Lovegood first says it when Ginny introduces her in Order of the Phoenix.

And the pudding comment was perfect not canon but perfect for Luna.

sorry 'bout double posting, just slightly reviving the club.
are there things about evanna's way of portraiting luna that you don't like, or wish was different?

Not at all---simply put, she's perfect. Will always be perfect for Luna, and no doubt she'll sign up for the rest of the books, I'm not quite sure how she'll take what happens in DH though!

Evanna sounds like a girl who you'd just have fun meeting as a fellow HP-fan instead of someone who's been in one of the movies.

what do you mean - "what happens in DH"? I mean, I've read it, but is there anything specific you're thinking about?

and yeah, I think meeting her would've been great. she's so committed to harry potter. I kinda imagine her as the kind of person who notices all the small details the rest of us might miss :P

Um... more specifically, I'm talking about how she's pretty much kidnapped and probably tortured as DE's prisoner.

Hmmm not really. I pretty welll liked how she played Luna. I think that she did an amazing job.
I agree. I think that she could really just carry on a conversation about Harry Potter like an everyday fan (but with inside information) and I think that that alone makes her really cool. She is a really devoted fan. I read online that she has (or had) two cats named after Harry Potter (one's name was Luna and the other I think was Dumbledor). Then when Half Blood Prince came out she was in the hospital and was really upset because that meant that she might not get to get the Half Blood Prince book for some while. However she was released from the hospital the morning of it's release and the book store had saved her copy....I do not remember now if it was a signed one or not though...sorry.

Kitoky, Luna's first time saying "You're not going mad. You're just as sane as I am" is in the Order of the Phoenix book? That is really cool. I did not know that. Thanks for the information. :) Okay this is a bit off topic....However I kind of need to know how to do this so I an continue on topic...how do you change the text color? :blush:

Have either of ever tried to imitate her voice before? Stupid and very odd question I know...but I am curious.
What is your the sceen that you are looking forward to seeing Evanna portray as Luna in the up coming Harry Potter films the most?

I've never tried imitating the voice--but her voice really is perfect.
When I said Luna first says it in Book 5 was in response to Aname's question regarding "Wit beyond measure is man's greatest treasure." However, the "You're just as sane as I am." quote is also around the same spot in the book.
