I wish so bad I was in a force... I mean, every day I meat people who are in the military and are going to be sent off soon... 'cause where I live. I'm really interested in it! Because I know so many people in it!

Well I'm still a little young to join the actual military where they actually do get sent off to war. I'm only in the army cadets. I'm going to join the military after a few years of university though...

Aerlinn, nope we ain't bread :teehee: And yep you're right... it's pretty much a pre-army training. We never will get sent off to actual war, since every cadet is in between ages 13-19. It's basically a warm-up for what will come up if we were ever to join the military... much more flexible and fun than the actual military would be.

Well actually joining the military is totally going against my own religion, but in this day and age, it's pretty much war war war (actually it's always been that way, ever since humans appeared...)... I won't get into anything religious or political, but yeah... I sort of feel like an idiot.

:P

And welcome, Earwen!

I read what you said in the Picture Thread - around here there're lots more air cadets than army and sea as well. But the army cadet's number ones are their DPMs, so everyone can tell us apart.

Where you are, is there like a constant rivalry between air, army and sea cadets?

Lucky you guys, eh? Most people can only tell us apart if they stare intently at our shoulder badges that say clearly "Royal Canadian Artillery" or "Royal Canadian Army Cadets" :P

And yup, there's a pretty big rivalry... when we're tagging or selling poppies, our Cpt. is always telling us harsly "if you see any air cadets at your location, tell them to move off, that this is our day and that they aren't supposed to be there." And we always sneer at each others' uniforms and we almost never socialize with air or sea cadets (there are exceptions though, haha).

It's the same with us, we always laugh at the army/sea cadets. Our squadron base is at the same place the army cadets' is, so we laugh at them when they're doing drill. When you march, do you do it like really really fast?
