Suilaid  The title speaks for itself for this society or club, I think! I've always loved the idea of being a shieldmaiden - you get a sword (and get to ride secretly into battle... if you're Eowyn, that is...) and the whole idea of being simply decorative goes out of the window! But I must admit I'm fond of Eowyn's shieldmaiden dress in The Return of the King; that is beautiful.

did you ask Kitoky if you could open this club? And it seems alot like the GCF club(Girls Can Fight). (btw, I made Eowyn's sheild maiden dress, and was her for Halloween 2007) |

Ohh, Id like to jion.  You did Eru? On a sewing machine? I don't have patience for those things...plus they hate me.

Not on a sewing machine... by hand... well, I did the cutting and fitting while my grandma did the sewing. It's not really complicated or anything. Buy a plain brow t-shirt, a white longsleeve shirt, and a skirt that can be either white or brown(the sheild maiden dress can be either way), and many yards of lace that you think is closest to the on on her dress... that's all you need to make a simple costume that's not necisarily perfect. |

Wow, I've never been anyone's hero before, lol! But I still have to get the pictures of it... Edit! Here they are: just standing there on my Aunt's front porch where we went trick-or-treating because I really live out in the middle of now where http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g111/ ... e009-1.jpg And nice Eowyn stance with the sword which is hard to see. And here you can also see that the gold lacing only goes around the front. http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g111/ ... e010-1.jpg And this is the last pictures. You can see the sword I had made to go along with it. It's just one of my brother's plastic samuri swords covered with tin foil, the hands is wrapped with brown cloth, and the hilt and pommel I cut out from pie tins.
