Cool, just as long as they are done. I don't usually think of Papyrus as a plain font, though.

We aren't going to use Papyrus; it was just an example. :) I just meant that script or overly grungy fonts aren't going to be featured this month.

Good choice. Me like plain fonts. There’s so much you can do with them.... I sorta actually gravitate towards them anymore. They're easier to use and get right, IMO. :P

And then you can put them in italics and they look like a completely new font. :P It's genius.

And when you put other fonts in italics it is just a royal mess. Could make for an interesting font challenge though. lol!

Ditto what's been said. Overall, plain fonts rule. :P I can't wait to see what you guys pick....

I just downloaded the most awesomest font ever: I'm Not Emo
Don't you love the grungy backward-ness?

Anyways, uh...bump?

I'm really sorry about this. Aramel should be posting the voting for this month soon, but I think she's pretty busy. Ara? You around?

Haha, Lethy! That font is awesome! Not really sure when I'd use it... but, you know, you cannot ignore it's awesomeness. ;)

Well, hopefully in summer you guys'll have more time to run the contests and the fonts of the month. Right now with school and all I think we can understand.

*peeks in*

Just thought I'd throw this out here... I'm working on an incredibly important project - like, probably the most important design project that I personally have ever done. It's a graphic design project that will be given to my favorite band ever (yes, Skillet). This project involves a LOT of different fonts.

If anyone has any suggestions for cool, legible fonts, PLEASE share them with me within the next few days? Please? I'd love you forever. As I said, this project is way beyond important to me.

Not really swirly ones - more solid. Simple, yet unique. Let's see, some of the ones I've already used are Aerofoil, Leaf, Requiem, Rough Linen, Times New Yorker, Chaos Times, You Are Loved, Capture It, Evanescent, Octember Script... I've used a few more swirly ones, but mostly I'm looking for ones that don't take up a ton of space, if that makes any sense at all. But basically, any font that's easily readable will work.

It will be given to Skillet? :swoon: How will you give it to them? Now I ish curious. :-P

Solid fonts but different? Let me see.

Birth of a Hero
city burn night after night and we spray paint the walls
Dead Secretary (Only a few of the letters are swirly; the rest are pretty plain.)
Crooked
I Still Know
Nu Century Gothic
Stam Pete
Will&Grace
violation

I hope these help! I'd LOVE to see the finish product once you're done with it. :-D

Rose, those are amazing - thanks. :-D That definitely helps. I don't have any of those, actually... *starts downloading*

I'm always open for more as well. ;-)

[[And as to how I'm getting this to Skillet: when I say I am a Skillet fan, I do not make this claim lightly. I have climbed closer and closer to the band over the past year... I have connections in Skillet management now, access to pretty much any information I could ask for, and friends who are personal friends of the band. Two of these friends get to go back stage at every Skillet show they go to - and they go to between 5 and 10 each year. One of them has offered to take something I made (it's complicated to explain, it would take a while) and give it to the band. If she can't manage it, my other friend will.]]
