I must watch the series at last. I feel like the only one who haven't seen it yet.

AHAHA YES THE MEN.

*ahem* sorry. They are very much drool-worthy, though. Although, I seem to be the only one who doesn't find Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister) very attractive.

From what I seen I like Drogo from the look  I think they made very "pretty" Dothraki ^^

Others are mediocre for me, don't kill!

Ana- I like NCW but I don't think he's quite as hot as Jaime as he is in RL - though saying that he looks rather fine with the beard he's grown for S2.

Smaug- Oooh yes Jason Momoa looks lovely!! I completely didn't picture Khal Drogo as 'Hot' but he does it justice (saying that I don't see how Daario is handsome either!)

Mediocre? D: lovely Kit and lovely Richard and Manly Sean Bean? :(((

He's alright, I guess. Haven't seen the beard yet :P

I don't quite get what people are so on about when it comes to Richard Madden either, honestly. He's quite good-looking in RL, but as Robb, I just don't see it. Kit is gorgeous with his Jon Snow beard, looks sort of like a child without it (but an attractive child :teehee: ). Sean Bean, of course, is the manliest manly man there is.

I always imagines Drogo as VERY hot ^^ So it fits my tastes. But I also imagines Jon, Robb, Jaimie completely different and I don't like what I see.

But Sean Bean is okey dokey ^^

The word "Mustachios" always sounds kinda silly to me, which probably affected my mental image of Drogo massively :P. As for Robb, I didn't really get the love until I saw the scene where he attacks the tree after Ned's death- he really does look good swinging a sword in armor! Jon always seemed kinda vague to me when I pictured him, because I started the books about the time when the TV show was coming out- and I knew that Sean bean was Eddard, and Jon was meant to look like him- but I couldn't really picture a 14 year old Sean Bean - so Kit fits!

On the topic of how we pictured the characters- It's pretty silly but I can't help but see Aeron and Victarion Greyjoy as looking like Kate Beaton's Aquaman

waaahahafkjlsa dfs I hope some of you are still around because I finished reading A Game of Thrones today and my emotions are all over the place oh my god. :swoon:

1. The book was much better than I thought it would be. I was expecting between "decent" and "kind of good," and then it turned out that it was well written and I adored it.
2. Next up: watching the show. Started the first episode, didn't finish. That will change.
3. Is it possible to kill Joffrey twice or more because I want that to happen
4. Various mentions of shadowcats = win. :p
5. The quizzes tell me I am a Tyrell and I am more than okay with that even though their sigil sucks

Okay, I might be able to form coherent thoughts sometime in the future. Maybe. I don't know. I need the next book.

I'm here! The local TV channel starts airing GoT tomorrow, so I'll be rewatching it as a preparation for Season 2 :D

I've probably already said this in this thread, but since you're new to the conversation I'll just repeat myself :P I didn't really enjoy the first book as much as the others, but that was probably because I knew what was going to happen. I loved the show though, and I loved all the other books.

Also, yes. You do need the next book

I'm here too!!!

AGoT was for me, one of my favourites of the series so far, but then I chose to read the book before I watched the tv series. But you definitely need to next book, and watch the series too because it's also pretty awesome!

I knew most of what happened because I saw spoilers on tumblr, but it was still quite fun to read. Ugh, the next book though. Two problems with getting it which are making me sad:
1. My mother is forcing me to read another book first because my sister gave it to me for Christmas and "you can't get the next Game of Thrones until you read the book your sister gave you." :annoyed:
2. All the bookstores keep selling out of A Clash of Kings. Apparently everyone in town is reading it right now. Hopefully that means they'll have them restocked soon, though. *crosses fingers*

I started the series in the meantime though :D The one problem I have with it is that while I'm watching, I actively refer to Eddard as Boromir in my mind. :teehee: "No, Boromir, don't--oh right you're not Boromir, sorry." :P

Wooot, a Song of Ice and Fire!! First, I'd like to ask permission to join the club :) As to which house I belong in, I would have to say I'm a Stark (at least according to the quizzes).

Now over to the rambling: I finished the first book a few weeks ago, and have been waiting ever since for the next book. One problem: the library has lend out all the copies, apparently everyone is reading them at the moment! But I'm on the waiting list, so hopefully I'll get the next one soon, but it's sooo hard to just sit around and wait...

Anyhow, I already saw the show and totally loved them! My boyfriend watched along and I kept explaining to him who everyone was and to what house they belong ;-)

Eeeeee I finally bought A Clash of Kings. Haven't started reading it yet, but it's sitting in front of me and I can't wait to start it. :P I'm so nervous though... it's going to be a bloodbath, isn't it? *le sigh*

Still working on the show. I've seen one and a half episodes now. Ugh, I'm so behind on my TV stuff, so much to watch... and balancing that with reading... and Photoshop... eep. xD

Welcome to the club, Lhunardaien. You know, you should just buy the book, rather than wait for the library to have it in. It's not a decision you'll regret ;)

Also, a word of advice to the both of you: Don't get overly attached to characters. You know what happened to Ned...

Personally, I'm waiting for A Dance With Dragons (the last book) to come out in paperback. I've bought all the others in that format, so I don't want the last one in hardback, which means I've waited about half a year for it. I might have to re-read the others to remember all that's going on...

Me? Get overly attached to characters? Like that would happen... Heh... Yeah, I would never... except for being attached to like everyone at this point

Anyway, random thoughts from the first 200 pages of ACOC:
1. I want a direwolf.
2. I want a baby dragon.
Aka this book is making me want numerous Inappropriate Pets. :p
