I love elves, so I'd love to join you guys!  The Hobbit almost convinced me dwarves were better, but that was short lived.
I could never choose a favourite, though--there's too many characters I adore. In LotR itself, Galadriel is my favourite, but then there's the Silmarillion. Maedhros, Maglor, Fingon, Fingolfin, Aredhel, Ambarussa, Celebrimbor... I have a lot of feelings about them. 
Rivendell's got to be the prettiest out of the elven cities, though. I'd love to live there.
