If I had kids someday, then maybe.. But I wont have any, 'cause I don't like little children.

I could name a daughter Eowyn, but then she might hate me later on but it would be in the running for names (one day Eru willing, not now :lol)

I'm thinking it would be fine for a middle name. the kid may not appreciate it being her first name as she goes through school. (which is why, sadly, the name Sherlock has been put on the backburner for a boy. Instead they will get Killian or Declan!) But its such a pretty name, I want to use it!

Yes I would! Only as a middle name though, as a first name it would sound a bit too weird over here But I really like the sound of it, and of course also the character she'd be named after.

^^ Agreed! Eowyn would be a fantastic middle name.

Eowyn was my 2nd "crush" when I read the books (1st being Galadriel). To Miranda Otto's credit, she did a respectable job bringing the character to life in the movie (within the confines of PJ & co's fanfic screenplay).
"trothplighted" was Tolkien's way of saying "engaged". I believe the tale of Years in the Appendices has them getting married, and there is a reference of a grandson in HoME #12, but the details are vague to non-existant.
Hanasian the Ranger saw her from afar at the camp at Dunharrow, but he had gotten the vibe that his Chieftain had something going on with her, so he did not go to speak with her. That and because he was shy.

Eowyn can use a sword, but what about other weapons? Can she shoot with a bow as well? Or throw knives?

I actually can't remember if she used anything else in the books. :/

And she was fighting with a sword in the movie as well. I should read the Pelennor battle chapter again..
