Welcome to The Official Rick Riordan Fan Club! Whether you love Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Heroes of Olympus, or The Kane Chronicles, this is the place for you. Discuss away!
(organizational note: instead of having a regular members list, why don't you introduce yourself in your first post and explain who would be your divine parent if you were a demigod in Rick Riordan's world, which God/Goddess you would be, or if you would rather remain mortal and why.)
Members: Ariadne394 - would be either a daughter of Athena or Apollo. identifies with Athena's love of wisdom and Apollo's love of the arts. EraisuithielS - would be a daughter of Athena because she likes Annabeth, is really smart, and loves art. Eruant - would be a child of Athena because she's smart and likes to learn, or Hephaestus because she likes making random things and is always fiddling with stuff. Torziel Evenstar - would be a daughter of Athena because she's really smart and loves wisdom, school, and learning.

YAY!! I have to join. Daughter of Athena. Firstly because Annabeth is pretty epic. Yeaup. And I'm really smart, apparently, and I love art (Athena does art too..craftsmen and whatnot )

Great! Welcome to the club, Era. (Can I call you Era for short?)
Annabeth is also one of my favorite characters... she's smart and spunky, but she also has a vulnerable side. And she really knows how to kick Percy's butt!
(And in regards to Athena vs. Apollo on arts, I guess they are both artistic in their own ways. I was thinking more in terms of Apollo's poetry (though not the horrible stuff he comes up with in Riordan's books ) and music.)

Thanks ...lol hmm...Era...nice! I never thought of that actually! I can't wait for Sea of Monsters!! (the movie)...although I'm expecting it to be a disappointment...no oracle, no prophecy. Wonder how that's gonna work.
(On Apollo: Ohh yeah I see I laugh my head off at the lame haikus. Every. Single. Time. )

Oh yeah, I never actually saw the complete first movie (only clips on YouTube). When is The Sea of Monsters coming out?
I've heard that most people thought that the first movie was too different from the book and didn't live up to their expectations... is that what you found?

Ooh! I wanna join! Pick me!
So anyway, I think that my demigod parent would be... Hmmm... Hephaestus or Athena. I have been told that I'm smart and I like to learn, which would be like Athena, but I am also always fiddling with stuff and making random things, which is more like Hephaestus. So... Yeah.
You're gonna have an epic time here Eruant Yeaahh the movies.. you've gotta see for yourself, but they made a whole lot of mistakes. I mean, the movie itself was ok but when you look at it from a book-fan perspective...welll...it was so inaccurate you'd be spazzing your head off They made Annabeth's hair brown in the first movie.
Leo's one of my favourites He's completely hilarious. No other words necessary. Oohh...what's all you guys' predictions of whats gonna happen in HoH? Or do you wanna talk about the epic mistakes of the movie instead? I'm cool with that too lol
And Ariadne: Sea of monsters is out i think on August this year. Or something like that. But they're dying Alexandra Daddario's hair blond for the movie...hah, yeah, good luck to them with all the transitions. *scoffs*

Welcome to the club, Torziel! Wow, we certainly have a lot of daughters of Athena so far!
It's too bad that the movie didn't turn out that well when the books are so good. I might watch the movies if I can borrow them from a friend after they're out on DVD, but I agree with Eruant: I don't plan on seeing them in theaters. And I'm glad that they're at least going to make Annabeth's hair blond for Sea of Monsters - I just don't understand why they didn't do that in the first place, since that's one of her most important features in the books! Maybe fan outrage can actually make a difference in some situations...

I think I'll watch it anyway -- from the library cuz I don't go out to watch movies much anyway I'll hate and love the movie as much as I hate and love the other one lol Can't wait for House of Hades!!

Can I join please? I am a big fan of Rick Riordan ...
I think I belong to The Kane Chronicles as an Egyptian (I am original Egyptian ) but I would love to be in camp half blood as a daughter of Poseidon for my love of water and the lives under the sea (also will be Percy's half sister who shall look after him) or Apollo because I am into music, archery, poetry, purity and art ...

I am excited for the 2nd part; I am sure it will be better than the first one which was very far from the book.
