So I read Unseen Academicals on Tuesday and I read Colour of Magic and the Light Fantastic yesterday.

I realised why I didn't like Colour of Magic the first time I read it. It, along with the Light Fantastic, is pretty... strange. I can't really describe it.

Yes, I agree. Pratchett needed to get to know his own work before he started writing the best books in the world. I like magical Discworld but I think Terry elvolved very much in his writing.

I have read The Unadulterated Cat. Very funny book for cat lovers. And very ironic, as always from Pratchett. And first Terry's book I laughed loud ;)

I can finally say that I agree with you: I didn't like "Colour of Magic" very much either. Especially the part about the parallel universes where the characters have translated version of their own names and such.. It was just too weird and incomprehensible to be fun to read! But I hate to leave a book unfinished, so I read it to the very last page.

Moist, Pratchett's books are among the few that can actually make me laugh out loud :) Sometimes because of the jokes, mostly because of his amazing style of turning around sentences so they become hilarious.

DON'T THINK OF IT AS DYING, said Death. THINK OF IT AS LEAVING EARLY TO AVOID THE RUSH.

RIP PTerry. I've been crying on and off since I heard the news yesterday. The world has lost one of it's greatest authors.

"No one is actually dead until the ripples they cause in the world die away…"
