Yeah, when I'm out of money I just run outside! I am going to run a 5k in December, on the 18th through a Christmas lit town, it should be fun! Any upcoming races/runs for u?

Nope, I've got no races coming up. At the moment I'm not even running, because I've got a little injury that still needs to heal which makes running a bit uncomfortable. But I can't wait to start again! The weather's been amazing for running the last couple of weeks: cold but very clear, and it's making me anxious to run!

Ouch, hope your injury heals soon! I live in town, but i can easily run out into the country. I love running in the cold, fresh air, and in the country, the view is beautiful! I really want to run a 10k in January, but my coach is like, "i dont want you to get hurt, and with your ballet..." it can get a bit annoying

Yay, I just signed up for another 5K colourrun in June! I know it's still ages away, but I had so much fun last time that I'm really looking forward to it now. And this time I'll put some more thought in my outfit: I'd like to have white legwarmers to catch more colour, so to speak And it doesn't hurt that this colourrun will again be on a beautiful beach in a cute little town, where I'm going to stay the night with my best friend!

Oh, that sounds so fun! Unfortunately, for me there are no upcoming races, i twisted my ankle pretty badly today...yay for me Especially since it means im out of ballet until my ankle heals I'd like to do a colorrun soon...there was one (it sounds crazy...but yes, in the snow!) But now i guess i cant do it. This May there is a half marathon too, apparently for every mile, you get splashed with a bucket of water...sounds fun! And it gives you some motivation to get to the next mile

Today some pictures were posted on FB from the colourrun crew show showed the new and improved colour powder they ordered from who knows where. It. Looked. Amazing! Brighter colours, so that means even more fun A colourrun in the snow would look amazing, but I think it's better suited for summer. From what I've learned last year, colourruns are always overcrowded, so running is not really easy, and walking in the snow would be too cold! Running in snow isn't that fun anyway, all slippery!

We went last year (I didn't run, but my brother did) and they plowed a path through the snow. My brother said it was a little slippery, but not too bad. My ankle healed (finally!) So now I'm working on building up my distances again. I ran 9 miles yesterday, and it was harder than it should be, but I'm still working on it. Have you ever tried running to soundtrack music? I find it easy to run listening to "let it go" from Frozen, and "The Forest River" from the DoS soundtrack. I use those tracks when I want to run slower, but I tried the forest river, and it wasn't too hard to sprint to.

Glad to hear your ankle is healed again! I haven't been out for a run during the past two weeks, it's been rainy and windy over here I usually don't mind a bit of rain during my runs, but wind + rain + cold is a bit too much. The weekend should be good though, so I'm hoping to get a run in then. Yes, I love listening to soundtrack music for running! Only the faster/louder bits though, I need something to keep me going Disney songs are always good, but the louder themes from LotR (like the Bridge of Khazad-Dum) work as well. My all time favorite is probably the music from "Chess", which was a theatrical rock opera.

Oooh, the bridge of Kazad Dum makes me want to sprint so I do We have had so much snow lately! I'm looking into buying some shoes that I can run in the snow yet. My neighbors try to keep their sidewalks shoveled, but... I'm thinking about doing another half-marathon, but the next one is a few days before my ballet performance (i have two solos, so I can't kill me knee!) . So I might have to wait until July, which won't be pleasant in the heat of summer! I guess I'll settle for a 10k or something

Now that I've finally watched "Frozen" I also discovered "Let it Go" is an amazing song for running! But I also like "Mermaid" by Train, it has the right beat and tempo The weather has been kind over the past week: clear blue skies and fresh air, so perfect for running!

You are so lucky! The weather here is frigid and icy, and will remain that way until April I'd expect! I still try to run outside...it doesn't go so well though Ohmygosh, Let it go (Idina Menzel version!) is amazing to run to! The beginning is a bit slow, but beyond that, it's awesome! There's this insane group of homeschoolers who run early on Saturday morning...like 5am...to a coffee shop! We are all crazy people, and most of the time we stay out until noon it's a fun running club

A running club sounds great! It's much more fun when you run together I used to run together with a friend, but uni and work got in the way so now we just text eachother that we're going for a run, instead of actually going on a run together. But it's easier to run when you've got people to talk to and to laugh with. Now I have to motivate myself when my legs are starting to hurt But wow, getting up at 5AM to run?! I don't think I could ever do that. Getting up at 7AM to run in summer is about my maximum effort that I'm willing to put in.
