It's hard to watch the videos online because it plays and stops, plays and stops....I hate the Yahoo-type of player; it doens't load so it keeps stopping in the middle and it's annoying but I always forget to watch them on tv.

I know! I don't like that either.

i have heard that if you let it play through once and then watch it again it will play better but I have never took the time to see if it really works.

I actually tried to watch part of the video I had already watched...it didn't work. The players on IMDB.com are better, but even they kep stopping....you'd think that with our technology we can figure out some way to play videos like on YouTube for every web site.

Hm... well I guess I was told wrong then. (wouldn't be the first time :P )

Yeah I know... you would think they could do a better job with all the technology we have. *shrugs*

I mean, YouTube has a player that loads and plays pretty much without stopping. I don't understand why they can't convert to that. or Quicktime even. oh well....

Yeah... *shrugs* I dunno.

Sometimes it seems people just don't want to bother to make things better as long as they are getting money from what they are doing they are satisfied. *shrugs*

That's true...it's usually about how cheap it is or how much money it will make.

*sighs and thinks about how much better things could be if people weren't always so concearned about making money*

:P

I wonder if George Lucas cut any corners because of money in starwars...

what do you mean???

Author:  Jax Nova [ December 19th, 2008, 12:24 pm ]
Post subject:

Oh, I was just wondering... If George Lucas had all the money he could use to make the original trilogy... how different do you supose it would be? (if any)

I mean I am sure there were some things he couldn't do that he wanted to do...

you mean like go back and touch up all the effects? He already did that in the re-releases of 1997 and 2004. I can honestly say I've NEVER seen the originals in their entirety as they were in the 70s\80s. :(

Author:  Jax Nova [ December 19th, 2008, 12:37 pm ]
Post subject:

Yeah, I know he did the touch ups and all I have the DVDs...

But I mean if had all the money he wanted at the time when he made them... I wonder if he would have done anything different. *shrugs*

lol dunno my mind just wonders off to random subjects like that.

well, he might have done more, but you have to realize, back then, the effects he and his team were utilizing were the most advanced things then. *which I think makes them all the more special*.

although......I have to say I disagree with Star Wars being the single most important force driving technology in our culture, I think Star Trek did as much if not more in the medical and science fields. I mean a lot of medical advances were because of the original STs. And, the iPod and cellphones were inspired by Star Trek. :D *and yes, I'm becoming much more of a Trekkie than a SW fan.*

True, starwars even invented some of their own things to do some of the effects they did in the movies.

i wonder though if they had more money if they coudl have done even more with it. *shrugs*

Oh well.

lol well, i won't get started on star treck. it's a wonderfull concept and very imaginative. (got to respect the people who do it) but I never have like ST *shrugs* that's just me though
