Welcome all ye fans and followers of the Norse Mythology! This is the place to salute, honor and discuss the ancient beliefs that were one of Tolkien's main inspirations for writing The Lord of the Rings.
Phoenix will be in charge of the banners so those should be up shortly for yer enjoyment!
Make sure ye bring yer drinking horns for there is enough mead to last us a lifetime

Looks like this could be an interesting club! I think I'll be lurking around for now, not sure I'll have the time to post here when school starts, and I don't want to join clubs if I can't keep up with them...
My grandmother used to read me the stories from the Norse Mythology... and I think that may have lead to my present interest in mythologies and fantasy...

Hmm..a topic?
How about is there any particular God/Goddess you feel more interested in?
Other than the All-Father. I feel closest to Thor and Freyja. I also became very intrigued by Heimdall and Skadi.

I'd like to be a lurker too, i have enough clubs going at the mo and like Eä, i wont be able to post all the time once school gets underway.
I particularily like the Valkyries(sp?) they're a very neat idea...oh and Loki, he's Norse right?

Yeah apart from Odin of course, I feel mostly connected to (and mostly interested in) Freyja, Thor and Iðunn.

I'll join! Last year in English class we could choose one topic, and then give a presentation on it. I chose Norse Mythology. The presentaion was supposed to take only ten minutes. The teacher stopped my at 15 minutes and told me I had to finish soon. I had to rush through the Ragnarak (I confused everyone.) And I didn't even get to tell the story where Thor is a cross dresser.
