That confused me too: I do it like this:
copy and paste the texture(s) to the graphic, then (optional) make it a negative by going to image>negative, then go to layers>properties and when the box comes up change the blend mode to Screen. Does that make sense?

Oh my goodness, I think I forgot about this club. Let's see if we can revive it!!
Shameless advertising:
The Graphic Maker's Cookoff sign-up thread is up, the link is in my signature. For those of you that aren't really up on what that is, here's a link to the discussion/planning thread: http://www.arwen-undomiel.com/forum/vie ... hp?t=19971

More shameless advertising to bump the topic. =P
I just made an art community forum, where you can post your portfolios, enter contests, and share resources. It's very new and needing consistent members, so anyone and everyone is welcome to join up.

Hey! I'd like to join, but I don't know how to do any of this! I don't have photo-shop or anything like that either. Is there any way to learn? Do you teach that here? Sorry! I'm very new to all of this, but I'm making a website, and I'd like to make it the best I can . . .
Thank you!
