Hey there :hiya:! Welcome to the group 8)! As for what I'm doing for the 50th? I'll just be watching the episode at home, since going to movie theatres here in the U.S. is too expensive nowadays (unless you go to a daytime matineé), and I don't have anyone to see the episode with. Should still be fun, though, and from what I've heard about the Christmas special, that's going to be great, too, but also sad, since it'll be Matt Smith's last appearance as the Doctor :(. It's kind of a conundrum, really— on the one hand, I'll be sad to see Matt/Eleven go (he and David Tennant/Ten are jointly my most favorite Doctors), but I'm also hugely excited to see Peter Capaldi as Twelve .

I know! I don't get BBC America, but my friend is inviting a bunch of people to watch it at his house, so that will be fun. 10 was probably my favorite, but I also really liked 9. It will be so exciting to see 10 and 11 in the same episode! Who is your favorite companion?

It will be cool to see the two of them onscreen together . It's a tie between Donna (S4 is also my most favorite season) and River for me 8]. How about you?

Spoilers if you didn't see the 50th!

Hmm, either Donna, Martha, or the Ponds. I change my mind a lot. Did you ever get a chance to read the book that Amy wrote? If you did... how much did you flip out when the Doctor was talking about becoming a curator in the 50th?

I'm pretty sure you can, it's good to have some new DW fans aboard! I don't know who's in charge of this club at the moment, because the original founder hasn't been around for a long time, but consider yourself welcome!

What did you think of the Christmas special? My first thought was that it was all a bit confusing, and that I should have been paying more attention to really understand all the references. As I see it now, the fifth and sixth season have all been leading up to this moment, so if that's the case it's a nice wrap up for Matt Smith's Doctor's storyline!

Lhunardaien- I liked it 8). It definitely did a great job of wrapping up Eleven's storyline . That was the case I think, yes. I know I've always thought the three season arcs were part of one BIG story arc that was intended to encompass the entirety of Matt Smith's tenure as the Doctor . It's for that reason that none of the plot points Moffat left hanging from season to season bothered me as much as they did some.

Nienor Níniel- Welcome to the group :hiya:! Awww..., that's too bad :(! When it does, it would be great to find out your thoughts on it 8). Until then, we'll be very careful with spoilers :]. Since we can't discuss the episode with you yet, let's start with, oh, I don't know, how much of the show you've seen so far (e.g. whether you've seen some of "Classic Who" (stories from 1963 to the late 1980's & the movie), or just "New Who"), your favorite Doctor, and the like, maybe 8]?

I've seen all the episodes of 9th, 10th, and 11th doctor. (except the christmas episode). My favorite doctor is 10th 'cause of David Tennant. :p

Ah, so none of the stories from the Classic era (1963 to 1989) yet, then :]. I'm only slightly ahead of you on that front. I've only seen one story from each of the first seven doctors' eras. (for the 50th Anniversary period, the channel I watch the show on aired one Classic era story every month). What's your favorite season? Mine is S4, followed by the one that just ended. My favorite companion is Donna 8).

I like Ten a lot, too . Before Matt Smith's Eleventh Doctor came on the scene, Ten was my most favorite Doctor, and remained so until, probably, the end of S6. Now they both are . *Pokes avatar*

What did you like most about Ten? For me, it is/was his humanity (though the fact that David Tennant is very attractive helped, too ;)) Eleven I like(d) because of how complex a character he is (was). While we're talking about doctors and the actors who've played them, what are your thoughts on Peter Capaldi being cast as Twelve? I think he' a great choice, and I'm really looking forward to seeing him in the role .

Yea, I like the humanity of Ten, and that he is/was sometimes completely insane, and, of course, I think he is very attractive.. ;-) My fav companion is Rose, and you can guess how I died in Doomsday (not literally, I'm not a ghost, or then I'm ghosting.. :p ). I think Capaldi is gonna be a great doctor, 'cause he is a good actor.
