Good thinking.. the real thing is so much better
But.. it's not as easy as it seems when Legolas and Susan do it... it's so much more complicated and sometimes annoying.
It's fun when it's not annoying though!

A contest!! So what's the prize?? lol
Beautiful arrows, I like them all, so I was wondering if you could post a picture of your bow, so I could see what would fit?

I might be a little weird, but the few times I've tried archery (compound and recurve bow), I found it was easier without the sight. It was really annoying and threw off my aim. The guy whose bow I was using said it just need to be adjusted for me, but we didn't end up adjusting it, so it still got on my nerves.
Regardless, I like archery(even if my attempts at it are few and very far between), so may I join?
I personally like the Arrows of the White Wood, hobobaggins.

Allow me, on behalf of the club founder, to welcome you among the A-U archers, Aerandir.
I have never tried shooting with a sight. I am an amateur, and have only shot with longbows. I have a horrible bow and arrows that are far from straight, but I did practice a lot over the summer and got pretty decent results in the end.
Hobo, now when I look at the arrows again, the black wizard's arrows are speaking to me. I like them except for the white end... is it plastic?
The arrows of the golden wood are beautiful, but would they shoot alright? They don't look ...er practical.

@hobo's arrows:: Well I'd have to agree with Eä... personally I think the Dark Wizard Arrows seem the best. Though I'm not really familiar with four fletches on one arrow.. but hey, if you're comfortable with that then I'd say the second set is the best.

Well.. that would be called "sexist" really. Like I said, 20 is too light and I'm looking to get.. 25 - 30 pounds. You know what? I completely agree with you. I have a sight on my bow and my coach said that we MUST use it for our tourneys... it's not an option for us. I can't aim properly with the thing... So I just let the sight sit there for display and I ignore it altogether.

Thanks for the Welcome.
Lol, Haldir--that's pretty much what I ended up doing. I shot better without it. I have no idea what the draw weight on the bow was, though, except that our friend is a hunter (and he's pretty muscular) and his others were too light for him, so he moved on to this one. So it was pretty heavy (at least to my not-so-experienced mind).

Lol... I would advise using the Longbow to shoot something else, instead of actually shooting the Longbow.
Lol, I'm sorry. That was lame. I couldn't resist.

It's understandable. There a bow I want on "bowstick", it the army prolouge or something, but I don't think my dad will let me get it. He's wants a modern bow with scopes and all that stuff.

Not really.... guys just have a bigger frame nothing wrong with that.... Anyway I think I'll go with the white wood arrows because my bow is black and I think i would like three fletches in stead of four.

Hi all! I think the elven arrows are cool... and so are the white ones... can't make up my mind between those two!Wanna hear something interesting? My little six-year-old brother used a homeade bow, and one of my homemade arrows, and hit the bulleye of my makeshift target(which is a couple of circles drawn on a wall with chalk and broke my arrow...)... but he hit the target!
My homemade bow, which I hadn't used in years and years, broke because I'm stronger now than a few years ago... and I guess the wood wasn't as strong too... lol!!!
I'm moving this coming summer to a place were I'll have land for horses, and then I'm getting a real bow and arrows! Yay!

^I'm sure you can.
I like either the white ones or the Elvish ones, HB.
I had my first "official" archery tournament today and got third place, so that was fun.

I'm saving up for a real bow and arrows! Yay! I looked on ebay, and went to the sporting goods store, and the cheepest bows were lik $18, the most expensive were like $400... I'm aiming for one of the ones that were about $50-$100 and didn't have alot of fancy stuff... some of them had 2 strings... I think those were the hunting bows!
