Hello, friends who have trouble with there dreams. You have found the right place. Ask away about your dreams and I and some others here will help you interpret them. Ask about anything, as long as it relates about your dreams.

Well, drowning in water can give two suggestions of the meaning. The first meaning, which might need clarifying, are you afraid of drowning. A dream can usually have fear involved, because our dreams show our darkest secrets. But however, there is another possiblility. Well, the way I see it, the water you were drowing in could represent issues or jobs to be completed. By drowing, that could be suggesting your inablility to the issues resolved or getting jobs completed. It also can share that you are being overwhelmed by other things that you arent taking care of yourself.

Is this true?

Dr. Telpeath D.I.

I've only just seen this now. I can be so slow sometimes :duh:
I've been doing this in the dream thread and I would love to join this club.
Telpeath, I hope you don't mind me having a go at Lady_Earwens dream.(don't want to step on toes ya know)

Drowning signifies troubled emotions and becoming overwhelmed by them. Perhaps some repressed issues coming back to haunt you? Proceed with caution when searching your unconcious thoughts, do not rush them. Let them come to you in your own time.
Did you actually die in your dream from Drowning? As this symbolises an emotional rebirth.
To survive a drowning in your dream indictates a relationship in your waking life will survive any turmoil it may currently be experiencing.

No by all means, what you wrote included everythings I would have asked. Good Job. Speaking of which, would you like to be Vise Pres of the Club, seeing you have a nick at dream interpreting.

Anyway, that is a good question to ask, did you in fact die? However, fear could also be a reason for these dreams, seeing as dreams do speak of your fears or worries at the present time.

I had a horrifying nightmare the other night about my house becoming haunted. There was a hand that came out of my closet and grabbed me. I woke up, fell asleep again, and then had ANOTHER nightmare! It had to do with old halloween decorations and old, dark looking dolls. Any thoughts?

Well, judging by this dream I have a few thoughts. The first dream, the closet thing, is a daunting dream that has affected many in the world. Question is, do you have a closet in your room, and if you do, do you close it at night or is it open?

However, a possibility is that you are restraining old memories of people telling you their are monsters in the closet. However, this may not be the case. The hand, pulling you into the closet, may be both good and bad. Good because it may be pulling you into a place where you can understand you. A place, the core of you. However, it could also be bad. Bad, because it could be pulling you into the darkness of your very own heart. Or, consuming you. Question is, did you escape?

Second dream, well, I can visualize the scene but I can not come with a solution. Do you know what happened in the second dream?

I Do close the door at night. And I dunno if I got out. My whole house had just come alive with flashing lights and bats and things. It was like being in a haunted house, but everything in it was real. Maybe it had to do with monsters. I have a wild imagination, so I've always had very irrational fears since I was very young. I can't watch horror movies. I've never seen one because of it. I just saw (this is sad) LOTR last year becuz i was too afraid of gollum and the orcs.

The second dream...we had to take the dolls some place in cars. The dump maybe? And ther were two trucks. We were in my friend's driveway. My mom drove one truck and I had to drive the other (though I don't have a license) then i woke up.

Well, that may be the answer, your fear. Now the question is do you fear the dark? This is because if you do, the hand pulling you in might represent overcoming your fear. You must be pulled into darkness and be in its presence before you can conquir that fear. Is this true?

I am still not sure about the second dream.Phoenix, do you have any thoughts?

*gasps* no way! When I woke up from that dream, I was afraid to put my back to my closet because i thought the hand would come out of it, but I was uncomfortable on that side. So, I said, 'okay, I'm going to conquer my fear' and i turned my back to it and fell asleep without being afraid.

You're a genius. How do u do it?

Sam

OK, my turn,
i had this dream once and it still confuzzles me.

my brother, he's the oldest of us, was sitting behind the car holding the cat. my mom got in the car and then ran over my brother and killed him. the cat was fine. i saw the whole thing happen. later on when we were burying him, his girlfriend was talking to me when she burst into sobs saying,"i have no one to love!" then, the grave stone was right there and lightning struck the marble and it was engraved with my brothers name and the other stuff that is on grave stones. my dad in the dream said that it was engraved by God.

when i woke up the first thing i did was find my brother and stare at him until he woke up to make sure he was alive, then i went to check on the cat.

at the time we lived on a highway and lots of our animals got run over.

sooo... you have any idea what it means?

Merry and Sam: I have had similar dreams and have read lots of psycology books.

Lilliana Sparrow:

By reading your dream, it brings up an interesting situation. The first question that came in mind is if you charish this cat? I mean is he/she like a family member? A second question is has anyone in your family died recently? (I will wait for your response before tackling this dream <^_^>

well, i have had the cat since she was a kitten, i call her my baby all the time, so i guess so. i do love my Callie dearly. (the cat's name is Callie, because she's calico.)

and not really, my grand mothers died when i was 3-4, and my great grand mother died after i had the dream. those are the only people i know who've died.

but i lost a lot of cats when i lived there.
