I couldn't figure out a good name. At first I thought "The Club for Those Hobbits Call Tweens ". Didn't strike me as anything special. If you have ideas and you're voting age or over, join and post name suggestions.

I've been wondering how many of us are "adults". Seeing the guys make their Gentlemen's Club and then the Teen Girls' Club gave me an idea: why not start a club for us older A-Uers to get together, meet, and talk!

About what? Your life, your thoughts, your interests...
Your pets, your hobbies, your work or schooling...
Pretty much anything!

Please remember that although we're older we still need to follow the
rules and not posting something "mature" that violates our rules just because we're older. It's up to us to set a good example for everyone else!

So, if you are a voting-age or older, this club is for you. Otherwise, please enjoy the Girls and Guys clubs. :) Violators will be thrown into the fries of Mt. Doom.

Banner needed. Ideas for the Banner needed. Color ideas: Black and White, Gold and Red (or Blue), Gold and Silver, Green and Yellow. Combos like that. Or individual colors.

Yay!!! I'll TOTALLY join!! I'll be 19 on the 26th of this month!!! Yay!!! So strange calling myself an adult...man, I feel SOOOO old!!! Ack! Scary. Ha ha ha...I like the name "...Voting Age..." :) :) Yay for VOTERS!!! I'm so excited, the first time I got to vote was this June. Ha ha ha....:P

Anyways....I hope you'll let me join!!

So, do y'all want to keep "Voting Age" in our name? Keep it just as it is, use "Voting Age" in it and come up with a different name than
"Club for Voting Age and UP" or what?

Word ideas we could use instead of CLUB:

I was wondering if I could join this club, since I'm of voting age, currently 19, and did vote in our primaries! Woohoo!
Ooo, I like the word "Alliance", perhaps that's me connecting it with "The Last Alliance"....Hmmm....

I would like to join as well! This club is a good idea, a place for us "grown-ups" to hang out...ha not like I think of myself as one.

Anyway, I like the word Alliance as well, we could almost just call it the Last Alliance.....it sounds cool and it's nice and short. We could just make it clear in the rules that only people who are voting age and up can join.

Or we could call it The Last Alliance of Voters.

I'm just rambling off ideas now.

And then the club would still be somewhat LotR related, and for the banner you could use pictures from the Last Alliance?

EDIT: Or if we decide not to go with the Last Alliance idea, then you could use pictures of voting stickers for banners, which you can find quite easily if you search on Google.

Welcome to both of you. Oh Last Alliance of Voters. Well, I hope this is our first alliance ;) but that's a great name I think!

I like the voting stickers on a banner idea too. I wonder if you could show elves marching with banners and the voting stickers stuck onto those banners?

Hey! That's a great banner idea! Now we just have to find some pictures...

When I looked up voting stickers...just on Google...I found some, but they all have the American flag on them. There are people from lots of different countries on this forum, so won't that be a problem?

On the other hand, if they don't have a problem with it, then I don't. :D

Okay guys! Let's keep this club going strong! Ivy is going to be gone from the 10th to the 31st, in the meantime I'm going to be taking care of this club for her. So, let's think up and possibly creat some rockin' banners for us to show off!

Maybe we could design our own voting sticker? I'll bet it wouldn't be too hard with Photoshop or something...though it's been a while since I've fooled around with Photoshop...

-raises hand- me too, me too :) I'm in the "adult" age group too. May I join in? And...was there an official decision on the club's name? "The Last Alliance of Voters" seemed to be the commonly voted on choice, but I wanted to look at building a banner and wanted to be sure on the name. :p
