Oh, god, I have no idea which one is my favorite. Can I say all of them were my favorite. But I really liked Minas Tirith.

I really can't pick. There are several I love. "The Captain and the White Lady," "The Steward and the King" and the last chapter pop out instantly, but I need to re-read RotK.

I'd have to say...."Shelob's Lair." It was so descriptive and entertaining.

FRODO

^I love the alliterative style of poetry that the Rohirrim cry out as they go into battle. "Red the sun rises!"
My favorite, tho, has got to be Mount Doom. I've read bits of the Mordor chapters more than any other part of the book. :P That and the Grey Havens are what the parts of LotR I write the most poetry about, so I guess they're my favorite rotk chapters. The Havens one is so sad, though...I miss Frodo, "fictional character" or no. (Frodo lives, I say! :-D )

Mine, too. Hurrah for Frodo and Sam! The narrative about them, especially in Mordor, is so tenderly written. Also heart-wrenching. Who can read about the Ringbearer attempting to crawl up Mount Doom without having to blink back tears? Of course, he's my favorite character, so i may be more affected than some. ;) Still...

That shall be our battle-cry! Frodo lives! :P
Rotk is my favorite book of the three. lol, at one point i could almost quote Frodo and Sam's lines in Mordor. Still can, to some extant. "There! I'll be an Orc no longer, and bear no weapon, fair or foul! Let them take me if they will!" I like that one. :) (It's Frodo's line when they're casting away their gear. I may not be quoting exactly, but i was doing it from memory.)

I love "The Houses of Healing" - I've probably read that chapter more than any other part of the books (lol), and I was so disappointed that it was left out of the movie.
I think it's so funny that Merry asks Aragorn for pipeweed and doesn't even realize that his backpack is right next to the bed!

Oh so many choces. I have read the book in bulgarian and I don't correctly know the names of all the chapters but nevertheless, I mostly liked all about Moria: A Journey in the Dark, The one before it and The Bridge of Khazad-Dum. Also Helm's Deep and all about Minas Tirith from The Siege of Gondor to The Battle of the Pelenor Fields. The Field of Cormallen also left special moments in my mind to remember :)

"the steward and the king" is my favourite chapter in all literature - the scenes between faramir and eowyn are absolutely exquisite. i can quote whole pages almost word for word i've read it so many times. just thinking about it makes me catch my breath.
