I like the one where Legolas and Gimli are walking through Minas Tirith... I think it's the end of The Fields of Cormallen?

^yes, I liked that part too. Just reading about Hobbiton recovering made me fill up inside. And how Sam used Galadriel's gift - poor trees. (I mean the trees that Saruman cut down.) :'( :bye2:

it's amazing how much he ruined Hobbiton, considering how much time he had, which was only a couple of months

Yeah I know. I'm not even that sure of the timespan it took from when the hobbits left the Shire and when they returned. A couple of months? Seems longer, after all that had happened. :bye2:

it was a year and a half

but after they had let Saruman out of the tower (when they were still riding together) they let Saruman flee and he went to hobbiton while the partie was resting in rivendell (before they went back)

A year and a half is kind of long.

I can conclude that you've read the books very closely enough to know and remember all this information! :bye2:

I liked Houses of Healing. About Eowyn and Famarir, as you all know. I read that chapter over and over that the page tore because I flipped it too many times.

Me too! I read that part like 50 times. So yes The Houses of Healing is my favorite chapter. Although I love all the chapters. RotK was my favorite book out of the three.

One thing I would have changed would be the parts of Eowyn and Faramir - which should take up either all or more the time Aragorn and Arwen had on the screen. Worse, I don't have the EE, so I can't see the part with the two of them. :bye2:

I wish that there was more E/F! I feel for you that you can't see the EE...the first time I saw RotK it was the non-extended version and I was soooo mad that there was no Eowyn/Faramir. But now I have the EE and it's not as bad, but it still could have been better.

I was also upset with how they showed Faramir. The explanation that the moviemakers had was that it would take away some of the power that the ring had in the audience's eyes if Faramir were to say that he wouldn't take it. Well I say that Tolkien wrote it that way so it's supposed to be that way!!!

RotK was my least favorite movie out of the three (although I believe that Faramir stuff was in TTT...)

Ah contraire Elberethsq. The trusty Encyclopedia of Arda states:

...there is a single mention of a son of Faramir and Eowyn - apparently there only child - named Elboron.

Hope that helps!!!!!!!! :)

REALLY?????

Where did you get the Encyclopedia of Arda??? Please tell me!! I want to see it! Let's see, their only child Elboron - I checked the appendixes at the back of RotK and they don't mention anything really about F and E afterwards - except that "Eowyn of Ithilien" gave great gifts to Merry when he became Master of Buckland.

Er - another question. Faramir was the prince of Ithilien was he? I'm still not very sure. :bye2:

I actually just read about their grandson somewhere, I can't remember where there. Oh! Now I remember; it was in the prologue of FotR. All it said though was that he wrote the tale of Arwen and Aragorn. Thanx for the rest of the info Elberethsq! Now you're giving me the useful, concrete information :)

Yeah, I agree with all of you. They could have just taken the dialogue straight form that chapter (it's the very essence of Faramir and Eowyn's characters!). It would have been perfect. It's so well written! :) *warm fuzzies* lol

Tehe! Thanks. Yes, I remember in the prologue of FotR that they mentioned "Barahir grandson of the Steward Faramir". I could've fallen off my chair - I didn't know Tolkien wrote anything about E/F's children. :bye2:
